Travel Diary/// 2 Days in Delhi.

Hello!

My sister was in Delhi for 2 days this week and got up to some low-key adventures.
She shopped and ate and hit up some old haunts of hers!
She also lived with our new friend M and chilled with her family and her little pup Coco.

These are some snapshots of her visit to one of her favourite cities.
My sister loves Delhi. She spent 3 happy years of college in Delhi and every time she goes back and she leaves a little bit of her heart in the capital.

:)

Delhi Metro is not just efficient, it is also very, very pretty! Look at this beautiful wall art outside of the Janpath Metro station.

You know how these Afghani earrings are all the rage now?! And all these Instagram stores are selling them for a minimum of Rs. 600?! Well, if you happen to go to Delhi, you can just get them for anywhere between Rs. 200-300 at Janpath or even GK M Block market.

They are not real silver, but they are light and trendy and, of course, pretty!

Also, pompoms are all the rage in Delhi right now! Earrings, necklaces as a fringe on scarves and dresses etc.

The Central Cottage Industries Emporium is a touristy place for picking up handicrafts of all kinds, but, it does not hurt to go there even if you are a local because they do have a very interesting selection of fabrics, home decor, art, odds and ends etc. My sister picked up some really pretty fabric for us from there.

Right next to the Cottage Industries Emporium is a Smoothie Factory; they have shakes, cold beverages and, um, smoothies. They also do really delicious sandwiches! My sister had the pesto and mozzarella chicken sandwich and she highly recommends it if you are in the neighbourhood.

Speaking of which, the smoothies are pretty good too! My sister and our friend had the mango, coconut and honey smoothie and it was delicious! The smoothies are yogurt-free (unless specified otherwise) and full of fresh fruit.

Here's another shot of the Metro wall and some hedge llamas? So pretty!

My sister and our friend, M, went for a leisurely stroll down Janpath and M took my sister to Depaul's for coffee. Depaul's is a Delhi legend and their cold coffees are delicious! Look at that cute bottle!

The Townhouse Cafe is a loud but fun dinner place. The food is fusion and quite interesting.

A glimpse at the Warli mural and the beautiful Nataraj murti outside of the Cottage Industries Emporium.

So, that was a quick travel diary from my sister's quick trip to Delhi; hope you enjoyed looking at a few glimpses of her time there!

Have a great weekend, peeps!

Monthly Favourites/// February + March 2017.

Hello!

Today instead of just sharing some of my recent favourites for Friday Favourites, I thought it was about time to do a long overdue post of my monthly favourites from February and March, which for some odd reason I've just forgotten to do entirely!
My bad!

I seriously had loved some things that I want to talk about on here.
So let's just hop into the things I've loved in February and March.

FEBRUARY 2017 FAVOURITES!

1. Journal Pages/// I am so in love with how the pages for my journal turned out in February. I love, love, love all of the elements of my journal decor!
Ah!
I am so proud of it.
February is my birthday month and is hands down my favourite month of the entire year and I wanted to do something special to mark it's beginning in my journal.
Almost all of the elements in this page are from my Planner Society Kit and some ephemera from an Etsy shop.

2. Closet Re-organisation/// I spent some time this month clearing my closet and rearranging it. Putting clothes I want to wear in the near future in the forefront and putting away some clothes that I wear a lot in the back. It really felt like I was breathing new life into my closet and in my style. This year one of my main goals is to wear a lot of my older clothes and fall back in love with styling my outfits well. Like really take an interest in what I wear. I also intend to not buy a whole lot of clothes this year since I have sooooooooooo many things I haven't worn in year!

3. Favourite Bag/// Has got to me my Annual Birthday bag from Accessorize.
I snagged this baby on 50% off and I am in love with it. Blue and tan and polka dots!
Ah! It's perfect and it fits everything I need and more!

4. Silver Love/// I loved wearing silver all month long!
I mostly OD-ed on rings of all kinds!
:)

5. Birthday/// I turned a year older and hopefully a little wiser and kinder and more zen.
My birthday was a very mellow one this year. I stayed in, no book shopping or nothing. I just stayed with my family and chilled. Ate cake. Cleaned my house. Helped my mother pack. Really grown-up things!
But I got 2 cakes!
2 cakes!

6. Colouring Books/// I also coloured my heart out in February!
:)
Nothing calms me down more and nothing makes me happier!

MARCH 2017 FAVOURITES

1. Favourite Dori/// This is kinda pretty much the cutest thing I've ever seen!
A Lyra and Co. thing of beauty. This one is my sister's Hobonichi A6 cover and its simply darling!
I have similar and just as cute field notes sized fauxdori.
So cute! I die!

2. Goodies from Alicia Souza's Store//// I got some delightful things from Alicia Souza and I love all of them. 4 jot books and 2 buttons and 2 stamps!
Stationery is the best..the best!

3. Spring Nail Colours/// I am not the strictest follower of colours for season. I had black nails only last week. But this orange/coral colour just screams Spring to me.
:)
I also really love the formulation of this nail colours. Gel like finish and it lasts for over a week and that too without chips and inspite of me doing a bunch of chores.

4. Holi Treats/// Of the love and lure of a well made gujiya!
And Malpuas!
I was in sweet, sweet heaven!

5. Favourite Mug/// I got 2 mugs from Cath Kidston and I love them to bits.
This pink bird mug is for my sister who is a bit of a mad bird fan and I got myself this super cute mug with  some very London windows on them.

6. Landour/// Ah!
My most favourite thing about not just March but so far in the year has been my trip to Landour.
I loved everything about it.
The hills.
Winter chills.
The views.
And some amazing people I met while I was there!

Travel is simply the best and I really hope I get to do to more of it this year!

:)

Apart from these favourites..I also had some favourite TV shows.

Big Little Lies...which was amazing, powerful and intense.

Search Party...which is both funny and gripping.

Riverdale..really enjoying it. Though it is getting a little slow now.

.......

It feels so good to catch up!

I hope you guys have a wonderful weekend.

:)

Monday Moods: 25 Random Facts About Me.

Hello!

I thought for today's post I'd do another batch of 25 Random Facts About Me.
I have quite a few new readers, so I thought this will be a good way to introduce myself to you and say Hey, welcome to my corner of the internet!

I've have one post like this before, you can read it HERE, I list 50 facts over there! :)

But let's jump on to some new random things about me!

1. I really wish I had better handwriting!

2. I hate taking my picture. I don't know how to pose and what to do with my hands. That's the main reason I have such few selfies on my Instagram and on here.

3. I'd rather be too cold than too hot!

4. I can't cook rice or make rotis!

5. I can cook pretty much everything else...well almost everything.

6. I love living alone and I think everyone needs to live alone for at least some time.

7. I am currently obsessed with Rose Sharbat! I drink at least a glass a day. In fact right after I finish this post I am going to make me a glass!

8. I am so out of touch with new Bollywood. I see such few movies from the new releases. For instance, I have only seen one Alia Bhatt movie! And the last Hindi film I saw in the theatre was Dangal.

9. I went to Jai Hind College and loved every single minute of my 5 years there!

10. I have mild social anxiety.

11. I am an introvert. Though for years I thought I was an extrovert.

12. I love make-up. I always have and I always will.

13. My sister is my best friend, my confidante and my biggest support system. I just understand siblings that aren't close.

14. Numbers throw me off. I hate them.

15. I think I am a shopaholic. I admit it. I have made peace with it. I love shopping and it is something that instantly makes me happy. Even a small thing can make my day.

16. Stickers + Washi Tape  and pretty much all kinds of stationery has my heart.

17. I love bananas.

18. My parents fell in love with each other when they were 10 and 13! They wrote love letters to each other and those are some of the funniest things you'll ever read, they are full of silly things like how many dresses my mother got for Durga Pujo one year- 21 dresses, if you are curious!

19. I almost always have short nails, I find it hard to write and type with long nails. But lately, I've been loving the look of long nails.

20. I'd rather live in the past than in the present or future. I am all about the nostalgia.

21. I've always been a reader, but I've been reading A LOT since 2011 or thereabouts.

22. 90s indie pop is still some of my favourite music to listen to and favourite videos to watch.

23. TV Shows > Movies.

24. I hate loud places, loud people and general loud noises. I wish the world  or rather some people would come with a mute button.

25. My ultimate dream is to someday in the near or distant future to live in the hills. Have a little cottage and comfy chairs and a roomful of my books and just live a quiet life, away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

:)

Here is my making a rare appearance on the blog!
:)
This was me after a long walk in Landour and feeling all kinds of joy and happiness!
