Monday Moods: Read More Books.

Pretty Much my Mantra in Life.  Read More.  & Worry Less.

Sunday Sweetness/// Books, Sunshine & Notebooks.

Today has been a sleepy and cozy Sunday. Making the most of these gentle days before Spring arrives with its heat.  I read a little.  Wrote a little something. Slept.  Ate out.  Spoke to my Parents. Got some gossip.   A cute notebook from Diary of a Flower Girl.  She is so precious, I don't even want to use her.  Blurry.  Nothing like being lost in a good book.  My book cart. I am thinking of moving some books around and lining up my 24 Books for 2024 here.  That ways I stare at it the whole time and make sure I read them.  Gloriously sunshine-y days.  The view out my window today.  Books, Laptop and Writing on my Mind.  All good things.

24.1.24 A Happy Day.

24.1.24 Had a perfectly ordinary and fun and peaceful day.  Thought I'd document some of it on the blog.  Currently Reading and absolutely lovinggggg this book.  The Museum of Failures by Thrity Umrigar is about a tempestuous mother and son relationship, and family secrets and so much more. I am 65% in and I am hooked and so invested in this story. Highly recommend.  Planner Time and Journaling Time is my favourite.  My planner tote of the moment.  My Daisy Tote that hold my current read, a pouch full of my annotation supplies and iPad.  Fresh strawberries🍓  Flowers, on brooches.   This one is from Vastriyan.  The nights are cold and I need to find something spooky to read and watch.

General Whimsy: Coffee Loving.

Nothing like a cup of coffee to lift my mood.  Bought these yellow blooming mug from Weaving Homes recently and I love how bright and cheery it is.  I am still drinking my coffee cold because Mumbai is resolutely not having a winter.  But no complains, I am a through and through cold coffee girlie ☕

General Whimsy: Homebody Diaries.

I am your classic homebody. Being at home is my constant state of being.  I am happiest at home.  Every year I try to be more out going and adventurous but I revert back to being my cozy, slow and introverted self.  And honestly, I just need to make my peace with it.  :)  I love being at home. Crochet cuties and a cup of coffee.  Gentle mornings and gender phool.  💛💛💛💛 The last nearly two months, my building is getting some serious work done. An almost full renovation and up keep is underway and it's been loud and dusty and the complete opposite of peace and calm.  :(  This has taken quite a toll on my mental health. But we put our big girl pants on and deal with it. (Kinda, I am spiralling but putting on a brave face) Here are some glimpses of the quieter and gentler days.  A spot of sunshine and a little frog.  A sun kissed pile of books.  This one I am keen to read in 2024.  Spooky and Booky mug.  This wa...

General Whimsy: DIY Room Decor- Spruce up a Boring Steel Cupboard.

Hello Loves!  If you live in a typical Indian home, you probably have a steel cupboard or two and usually those guys, while super useful are quite an eyesore. And they are so large and bulky. I have three steel cupboards in my bedroom. I am super grateful to them for holding all my clothes safe but I do like to dress them up a bit. I wish I could paint mine but that seems like a big job and not to mention I am very allergic to the smell of paint. The last time we got things painted at home, I nearly died.  Not even joking.  So I find other ways to jazz up my cupboards.  I use a ton of cute magnets and stickers and postcards and cards but I was getting so bored of the art I had on for a while that I was in desperate need for some change.  So a few days ago, I pulled out some of my little postcards and bookmarks and even a thank you note or two and did up one of my cupboards.  Let's see what my new jazzed up cupboard looks like.  Look, how cute!...

Haul: Embroidered Jewellery from Rainbow Tales.

Hello Loves!  If you know me, you know I love love love things made by hand and I have a special soft spot for embroidered things. Both my Grandmothers were skilled embroiderers, so every time I buy a piece of embroidered something, I feel like it's something my Thamma and Dida would like.  :)  We've bought from Rainbow Tales and Rhichita before, a couple of time and we love her work and her artistry.  We recently bought a few pendants and two brooches and they are so lovely.  Here's a little look.  Here are the necklaces.  This is an edit of small pieces and I love them. So much more wearable and easy to just throw on.  I love the tiny florals so much. The lavender ones might be my favourite but I do love the little bee so damn much. So cute and see how neat everything is.  These are the brooches and they are so lovely.  Florals again because clearly I can't have enough.  :)  Do go check out her shop and treat yourself ...

Life Lately: Days of February.

Hello Loves!  How is your weekend going?  Mine is thankfully being all sorts of restful and full of books.  Reading was sorta slow in the beginning of this month, but in the last few days I've been reading a book a day and life feels good again.  So far in, February seems a little listless and stressful.  And to make matters worse, it's getting hot! Like properly hot here in Mumbai.  Yuck.  I hate it so much, I was naively hoping it would stay cool till my birthday but no, we are well into summer.  Ugh!  So solace is being found in cold juices, iced-coffee and stories.  My birthday week starts on Monday and I am determined to have a fabulous week.  Orange juice.  Cold as can be.  New additions to home.  Art that I've had for a while and love so much from Diary of a Flower Girl.  The little ceramic bell is new and came as a freebie with a coffee mug I recently got from Orange Skies.  Had rasbharis after absol...
