Blogmas Day-3! Festive Corners of Home.

 Hello Loves 🎄 I love this time of the year and how every corner of home (almost) is spruced up and looking festive.  Here's some light from my home to yours.

General Whimsy: DIY Room Decor- Spruce up a Boring Steel Cupboard.

 Hello Loves!  If you live in a typical Indian home, you probably have a steel cupboard or two and usually those guys, while super useful are quite an eyesore. And they are so large and bulky. I have three steel cupboards in my bedroom. I am super grateful to them for holding all my clothes safe but I do like to dress them up a bit. I wish I could paint mine but that seems like a big job and not to mention I am very allergic to the smell of paint. The last time we got things painted at home, I nearly died.  Not even joking.  So I find other ways to jazz up my cupboards.  I use a ton of cute magnets and stickers and postcards and cards but I was getting so bored of the art I had on for a while that I was in desperate need for some change.  So a few days ago, I pulled out some of my little postcards and bookmarks and even a thank you note or two and did up one of my cupboards.  Let's see what my new jazzed up cupboard looks like.  Look, how cute!...

Favourite Mugs of 2022. {Blogmas Day- 7.}

Hello Loves!  Let's kick off the listing off my favourite things of 2022 with sharing my favourite mugs of the year.  I love me mug, honestly I cannot resist a cute mug when I see one...which is a little bit of problem.  This year I bought mugs from some new places and some old constant faves.  Here are my absolute favourite mugs from 2022...used for coffee (for most part), tea occasionally and even juice..I am not a glass person for some reason.  1. Goopy Bagha Mug from Alom Merch : First up we have this super nostalgic mug from Alom Merch. A little tribute to Ray and his magic and Bhooter Raja and some elements of the iconic Goopy Bagha films.  A perfect mug for a Ray fan.  Love this guy.  My Thamma used to do his voice for us when we were little and I love him a little extra just because of it.    Love love love.  2. Chumbak Mugs : I can't possibly have a list of favourite mugs without having Chumbak on the list.  I always...

Vignettes: Summer Days.

  The Golden Days of Summer.  I am not Summer's biggest fan. Not by a mile.  I thrive in winter. Smile when it rains.  Summer is not my friend.  It's when I hide.  Sleep during the day.  Venture out during the evening.  I hide and plan for the rains.  Look at the sky hoping to spot an errant cloud or two.  I don't like summer.  This year I am trying to befriend this inescapable part of life.  Trying to make  the most of these intensely warm days, the sunshine that stabs at your very skin and the heat that embraces you.  I am trying to find the beauty in the flowers that spring out of corners.  Look forward to the mangoes.  And find the usual delight in everything iced and cold.  I am going to be friends with you summer.  I will make peace with you.  :)  Some pictures, or a #photodump of summer mornings.

Stationery Sunday: My February Daily Journal Set-Up & Decor.

 Hello Loves!  Today I want to share my February Daily Journal Set-Up and Decor with you. This year I am doing a mini-journal every month, for my daily pages, thoughts, feelings and documenting things big and small. Instead of doing a separate journal for daily pages and another for feelings and things..this year I am doing it all in one. And so far, I have done so in tiny journals.  January was in an A6 notebook and this month I am in another tiny journal from Kikkik. Since this is my birthday month I have done a little bit extra in terms of decor and tried to make this journal pretty as can be.  Here is a little look.  Here is my notebook.  An understated, minimal and beautiful notebook.  I am so glad I randomly had this sitting among my things. A favourite notebook from my favourite stationery place- Kikkik.  Made not one but two collages. Told you I went allll out for birthday month.  I love how this has turned out.  Used a hand-pain...

Haul: Bookmarks from Fugaa.

 Hello Loves!  Time for a little bookmark haul today.  I got these beautiful and cuddly bookmarks from Fugaa back in December. And they are too cute for words. The little girl in these bookmarks reminds me of me as a little girl. It was honestly love at first sight.  I got there bookmarks and a tiny notebook from this shop, I will show you the notebook some other day. Lets see the adorable bookmarks today.  Look at this cute little face!  Plus Cat!  I am so smitten.  With a furry friend.  Doesn't this remind you of summers in your childhood, running wild and free and being with nature?  Sleepy cuteness.  Here are all of them together.  I am so in love with these.  I love this darling little girl and definitely want  more art featuring her.  Go check out Fugaa.

Vignettes: Margaret's Deck Tea Lounge.

 Hello Loves!  Today I am throwing it back to the time in March when I made a little day-trip to the hills. The only time I went to the hills this year. Hai what a tragedy! Hopefully 2022 has me in the hills more and longer.  I had crossed Margaret's Deck a lot of times but for one reason or another we never stopped for a cup of tea, mainly because we are either excited to just get to Darjeeling or we usually stop at the Kurseong Tourist Lodge for momos and sandwiches, so it feels a little silly to stop so soon after. But for this time we were determined to stop and see this much hyped place for ourselves.  Here are some pictures from our short stop over.  Ah! An aesthetic paradise. This view meets your eye the moment you walk in.  A little plant display.  My cup of hot chocolate. I was hoping to grab a cup of coffee but they don't serve any, which makes sense it's a tea place, they offer a variety of teas and cocoa. This is the view from the deck. Mou...
