Happy Ray Day!

Happy Ray Day to everyone who celebrates.  Satyajit Ray is hands down my favourite Filmmaker, Writer and Bengali 😎 There will never be another quite like him.  So every year on his birth anniversary I re-read some of his stories and re-watch some of his incredible films.

Monday Moods: What I Read Today!

Hello Loves! Life’s been busy in the last few days, so I haven’t been reading all that much. This morning I picked up two adorable books and smiled my way through them.  Both have a common theme, they are about life lessons from our furry friends!  One from cats and the other from dogs!  🐶🐾🐈🐕🐈‍⬛🐩🐱🐾🐶 Here’s a look at some of my favourite pages from both books.  Eat. Play. Love. Life Lessons from my Dog by Emma Block: This book is pure love. Adorable, wise and so so beautiful. I read this with a big smile on my face and my heart full of joy, I gave this 5/5 stars and I highly recommend reading it. Now on to the book about cats.  This one has more sass (because cats) and is just as adorable!  Life Lessons from my Cat by Jamie Shelman: This one was sassy and funny and cute as hell. If you love cats, pick this book up, you’ll love it.

Blogmas Day-24! Top Children's Books of 2024.

Hello Loves!  I am a big fan of all things Kid Lit. I believe that a good book that's written for kids works just as well for adults. A book that teaches a child via a story will have a similar effect on an adult or at least bring them some much needed comfort.  I read a lot of Children's Books, when I have a hard day or week, I find myself turning to the softness of a well written Children's Book. Here are my absolute favourites from 2024.  First we have two books by the same author, whose work I discovered this year and absolutely fell in love with.  1. Small Saul  &  2. Larf by Ashely Spires: These books are so wholesome and wonderful and warm and fuzzy and so so so cute. Larf is about a Big Foot looking for a friend and Small Saul is a little pirate. My heart! I love these books and made my sister read them right after I finished them. So so so good. The art is lovely too. Highly recommend.  3. Mukesh Opens a Zoo by Ruskin Bond: What li...

Blogmas Day-19! Memories from Decembers Past.

Hello Loves!  I've had a slow and chill day.  Read a little.  Cooked simple things.  Had yummy coffee.  And looked back at some old pictures and memories.  Mostly from 2021, and the winter in my small town and living with my parents and making my room there festive as can be.  So here are some memories from  December 2021.  My book and light filled room in my parents home. A good time, even though back then I probably was waiting for brighter time and better days. Funny how life works, when you are in the middle of living your life you keep hoping for something better or more exciting and when that time goes by..you look back nostalgically.  Well... Here's some good days from 2021.  Every night I'd light some candles and read or watch something on my laptop.  The room would be warm and cozy and I'd be under my quilt and life felt so good.  Good times.

Blogmas Day-15! YouTube Video ~ 2025 Planner Lineup.

Hello Loves!  Shared my updated and final Planner Lineup for 2025 over on my YouTube channel. Go see…

Weekend Vibes: A Saturday in July.

You Got This~ Positive Affirmations from my Bookmark.  A postcard from Nori Designs actually.  Started reading this collection of Doris Lessing short stories that I've owned for years. My plan is to read a story a day for the rest of July.  Vanilla Coffee with a dollop of vanilla ice-cream.  My planner and gratitude journal sitting pretty.  Finished reading Nicola Yoon's newest and her first adult novel and I really enjoyed it. It isn't perfect and the MC can be really annoying and over the top, but I could not put it down and really enjoyed my time with it.

When I'm Sad I Read Kid Lit. 🌷

I've had the worst week. I have these super noisy upstairs neighbours and I've been so stressed and upset because they just won't stop banging and  clanging.  So my mood has been in the gutter.  And nothing I was reading was sticking or making me happy.  So I turned to some beautiful Picture Books to soothe myself and it worked like a charm.  Here are some beautiful books I've read lately 🌞 Five incredible and beautiful books that took my mind off my problems and made me so happy.  Now some beautiful pages from said books:  Heart warming stories and gorgeous art does wonders for my weary heart and mind.
