Saturday Diaries. 14/9/24

Hello Loves 🎀 I am feeling a little under the weather today.  So took things easy. Read a bit.  Chilled out.  And hoped for rain which has pretty much abandoned Mumbai.  Started this viral TikTok sensation..  My hopes/expectations are measured, I am just hoping for an easy and happy and emotional read.  I am a couple of pages in and quite happy as of now.  iPad, book and annotation things.  Finished reading this last night and it was cute and wholesome and full of cats.  In many ways it's exactly what you expect from a Japanese book.  Worth a read.  Iced-coffee.  Words of wisdom 🌿

Stationery Sunday: Pressed Flower Bookmarks from Papyrus Cotton.

Hello Loves!  My love for pressed flowers might just be a little out of control.  :)  I can't seem to get enough.  I came across Papyrus Cotton on IG and had to get some of her creations.  Pressed flowers in bite sized bookmarks: Perfect!  These are just some of the ones I ordered, I have 11 of these beauties. I will share the rest soon.    Forever in love with bougainvillea.  Look how perfectly preserved the flowers are.  A mix of white and flowers.  Such cute packaging too.  Very on theme.  So gorgeous.  MINI-REVIEW:      1. The bookmarks are very well-made.  2. The pricing is really good too. Very reasonable.  3. I also really like the size of these bookmarks, smaller than usual but I think they'll be lovely to use in journals and A6 sized notebooks.  4. The whole ordering & shipping process was super smooth.  5. The packaging was  wonderful and I liked that she...

Haul: Bookmarks from Artoverted.

Hello Loves!  Time for another bookmark haul. This haul is actually an old one...from September of 2020..I think.  I spotted Artoverted on IG and her bookmarks had my heart. Pressed flower anything makes me so happy and I cannot have enough of them. So I got a few of her pressed flower bookmarks and some other ones as well.  Bougainvillea and Aparajita look so beautiful together.  Aren't they so beautiful?  I also love the moon and music bookmark, something so old fashioned and vintage-y about them.  This one is so special.  Music and Water Lillies.  The Water Lillies is a picture I clicked in 2019 while driving around in North Bengal. We were on the way to the Tea Gardens and came across a canal full of water lillies.  I chose a song I loved and listened to like a million times last year, I am no Swiftie but this song had me obsessed all of last year and I wanted to have it on this bookmark.  Plus, I think the song and picture go ...

Monday Moods: Pressed Flowers Pendants from Rooh and Flowers.

Hello Loves!  Starting this first Monday of the Year with some beauty i.e. some flowers, well pressed flowers.  I spotted Rooh and Flowers on IG and loved her stuff, and if you know me at all, you know my weakness towards flowers and pressed flowers. So you know I had to get some stuff.  For weeks a lot of the stuff I wanted was constantly sold out, then finally on Christmas, I got lucky and got two things from her. And they arrived today.    Flowers and some Queen Anne's Lace.  :)  So retro and vintage and lovely.  The two beauties sitting together.  Looking fine.  If you're wondering about the book, it's The Adventures of Feluda Vol.I by Satyajit Ray.  Bougainvillea beauty.  I love love love this.  This guy was love at first sight.  You can find her on IG HERE.  🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 Hope you had a good start to the week and this first Monday of 2021 was a good one.

2020 Favourites: My Favourite Bookmarks of 2020!

Hello Loves!  I have a huge thing for beautiful bookmarks. I may be slightly obsessed and this year I allowed myself to buy a ton of absolutely gorgeous bookmarks from a ton of artists and illustrators and they've made me so happy.  So freaking happy.  So I figured I would share my most loved bookmarks of the year.  So here goes, in no particular order!  1. Books and Teacups Shop: The first-is bookmarks I acquired this year were from Books and Teacups Shop that has some of the most darling illustrations ever! Ever!!! Everything in her shop is warm and cozy and lovely and I can't wait to go back and get more from this beautiful shop!  2. Sparrow Official: This indie brand mostly does clothing but they upcycle their leftover fabric to make these adorable embroidered bookmarks. I got 4 bookmarks from them and I love how pretty they are. You can find their bookmarks here.   4. The Spring Palette: I fell in love with The Spring Palette 's aesthetic...

Blogmas Day- 12 Haul: Pressed Flower Bookmarks from TazzBookmarks.

Hello Loves!  I am clearly, and quite happily having a bookmark moment right now. I can't seem to get enough and I am completely fine with it.  I recently got these beautiful pressed flower bookmarks from Tazz Bookmarks and they are just perfect.  I chose each quote and I think the flowers and words just belong together.  "In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer."  ~ Albert Camus.  For a bookmark with a bed of roses I chose one of my favourite Camus quotes.  I felt it went well with roses and this year, and this time that we are living through.  "Nevertheless, She Persisted."  ~ Kim Baker  A feminist sentiment and one that I want to hold close and chant when things get difficult. Persist. Survive.  Slay.  I think it looks fitting with these dried flowers. It just makes sense.  "Screw Perfect. I'd Rather be Brave."  ~ Hannah Brencher  Bravery > Perfection A...
