A Slow & Happy Saturday.

Hello Loves!  Today was  a sweet and slow day,  full of fun conversations and laughter and bookshop hops and sooooooo much joy.  I want to document the happy and wholesome days on my blog, it's one of my goals for 2024, but since I had a good day today I wanted to make a little, almost journal entry about it.  Went to Town.. South Bombay, my old very beloved stomping grounds.  Went to two bookshops and unleashed my inner bookworm and got myself some books. A lot of books I had never even heard of, that's the beauty of a bookshop~ you find new and different books.  Met my sister's bestie and her kids and husband and laughed and caught up and reminisced.  Listened to music 🎶🎶🎶 of the party kind on my way back home.  It was good.  So good ✨📚☕🥰💖✨

Blogmas Day-20! Book Shop Diaries- Paperback at Prithvi Theatre, Mumbai.

Hello Loves!  If you find yourself in Juhu on a lovely day and have time to kill. I suggest you hop on over to the iconic Prithvi Theatre and find a show to watch.  Eat some good food at their cafe or get a cup of chai.  Soak in their atmosphere and stop at their tiny bookshop and buy a book or two.  It's pretty much what I did a few months ago.  I meant to share these pictures but my phone died literally the same day.  Well, better late than never!  The entrance to the theatre.  I haven't watched a play here in ages.  Hopefully will change than in 2024.  The Cafe.  I didn't go in because it was kinda crowded and it was hot and they don't have AC. So I skipped over to a Third Wave Coffee which was really close by.  The books at Paperback.  I like the curation they had here.  Different sorts of books. A mix of fiction, non-fiction and quite a few books about films and acting.  There is something for everyone...

Blogmas Day-14! Bookshop Hangs- Granth Book Store, Mumbai.

Is there anything better than just walking around a bookshop and browsing the shelves and finding some books to take back home with you?  Nope.  Nothing.  As much I do appreciate the ease and deals of online bookshops..there is nothing like the joy of walking around in a bookshop and finding some books that make your heart happy.  I will always, always prefer buying books from a bookshop and supporting an independent bookshop and keep them in business.  I have a few fave spots in the city.  This year I spent a morning at Granth Book Store and come back with a few books.  It was a good time. If you live in Mumbai and haven't been here yet, I'd recommend you take yourself here for a little bookshop hang and buy some incredible books. I really like this bookshop and their curation. I am sure you'll find a ton of books you'd want to immediately get!  Here is a little TBT and some snapshots from that morning.  I really should go back soon and buy ...

Friday Favourites: Summer in the City.

Hello Loves!  Today's batch of Friday Faves is just all things Mumbai.  I don't love summer.  But I do love the gorgeous summer skies and that incredible light. I also love how my city looks in the early days of summer, all bright and beautiful and lit up.  Here are some pictures of summer days and summer night in the city.   Iconic.  The streets of Colaba hold a piece of my heart.  Iced-coffee after a spot of book shopping. Bliss.  The Subko at Kitab Khana is giving me life.  Talking of Kitab Khana...a forever favourite.  All lit up and how.  :)
