Monday Moods: Kindle and Book Sleeve from Taaga by Reema.

Hello Loves!  How has your long weekend been?  Mine was film filled. I watched a ton of stuff and will do another batch of TV and film recommendations soon!  Today to ease into the new week, I am sharing a belated haul of beautiful things from Taaga by Reema .  I got these beauties on my birthday and I took these pictures on my main camera, my Canon camera and I had forgotten all about them. Because sadly, in the last two years I have rarely picked up my camera! Sad!  But today I managed to finally transfer said images and here we are with a beautiful little haul.  I have bought from Taaga numerous times in the last year. I love the prints she stocks and I love the many, many things you can get from her shop.  I have bought everything from Backpacks. Tote Bags, Kindle and Book Sleeves and multiple pouches and even a pencil case. I have loved everything she's made for us and I highly recommend you go check her out and get something beautiful. Ther...

Hello October 2021 + A Happy Feluda Haul + Current Spooky Read.

Hello October! Hello Durga Pujo!  Hello Festivity!  &  Hello Spooky Season!  I am happy you are back!  :)  October is a little bit of magic.  The festive seasons in India kicks off in all it's glory and Durga Pujo lights up my Bengali heart.  This year, I am hopeful and excited to actually step outside and see some of the pandals and Maa Durga.  I even have a few new clothes all lined up for Pujo.  :)  My reading too is shaped by both Durga Puja and Halloween.  So for the first half of the month and certainly during Pujo, I read some Bengali books and then its time to bring all the thriller and horror reads and going allll out with the Spooks.  I am so excited.  To kickstart my reading this month I've already started reading a creepy horror book.  This one.  The Girls are Never Gone:   The Conjuring  meets  Sadie  when seventeen-year-old podcaster Dare takes an internship in a ...

Haul: Mini-Backpacks from Chhoti Si Asha.

Hello Loves! Today I want to share a haul of Mini Backpacks from Chhoti Si Asha.  A shop I've bought a few beautiful things recently.  And then my dear friend Meenakshi sent me a whole goodie bag full of beautiful things and these two backpacks came with it and they are so freaking cute.  The first one in this gorgeous kalam kari backpack in black and ochre yellow.  Love the print and the bag is soft and tiny but it will fit a ton of stuff.  I cannot wait to wear it out and pair it with a ton of outfits.  The second one is in a classic black ikkat.  I love the colours and how this will go with a ton of outfits.  Look how cute!  Meenakshi picked the most perfect things for me.  Thank-you M :)  I love these so much.

Haul: Knitted Goodies from Khwaab.

Hello Loves!  I am thoroughly enjoying winter this year. Bombay has no real winter. So any opportunity to enjoy winter just makes me happy. This year is particularly cold and I packed like an idiot, I completely forgot to bring my woollen hats along and was in desperate need for some warm hats.  I spotted Khwaab on Joyeeta's IG stories and wanted to get some winter goodies from them. So we ordered a hat, a woollen headband and a cotton headband from them and I love everything we got.  Bobble Hat.  Love the colour combination, the pink and grey look so good together.  The hat is soft and warm and so cozy.  And it fits perfectly.  I also got this thick yellow headband that covers my ears too and keeps me warm.  Look how pretty!  Yellow is my favourite colour and I couldn't resist getting this.  I also got this block print cotton headband for the summer months. I love the print and the colour and can't wait to style it up come summer...

Haul: Knitted Woollen Hairbands from Oony by Anab.

Hello Loves!  Today is so cold in my corner of the world.  A cold wind has been blowing allll day and I am bundled up in a sweatshirt and under two shawls.  Brrrrr.  So today's happy mail came just at the right time.  I ordered a few goodies from Oony by Anab , things that are pretty as peach and things I needed this winter.  I got two  knitted headbands and one floral hairband which they call the Bahaar hairband.  Love the cable knit patter and the yarn is so soft and smooth and so comfortable to wear.  I wore mine- the sunshine yellow- headband the moment it arrived and it's helped to keeping the cold at bay.  We got the  Handknit Headbands in Sunflower and Fuchsia.  Sunflower for me and Fuchsia for my sister.  Every single thing is beautiful and well-made and perfect in every way.  :)  They make a host of handmade things:  Beanies.  Headbands.  Scarves.  Booties.  Scrunchies....

Blogmas Day- 15 Haul: Brooches from Vastriyan.

Hello Loves!  Today I want to share some beautifullllll brooches I recently got from Vastriyan.  I have bought from Bidisha before, I got some gorgeous earrings from her and I love her work. It's so stunning and neat and precise. She is crazy talented.  This time I got some lovely floral brooches from her and just look how freaking pretty they are:  This floral wreath is a thing of beauty.  A bouquet of lavender.  I honestly cannot pick a favourite.  They are all so beautiful.  Such happy blooms.  Also notice the lovely illustration on her packaging.  Bidisha should really start making bookmarks, I'll be first in line to get my hands on them.  This is the first one I picked up.  Yellow happy blooms for life.  A pink pineapple.  So cute!  REVIEW:  1. Everything is immaculately made and such good quality.  2. The whole ordering process is smooth as can be and Bidisha keeps in loop throughout the shi...

Blogmas Day- 11 Haul: Jewellery from Needle Online.

Hello Loves!  My little pre-Christmas and year end shopping has been happening in bursts and bits and it's all beautiful handmade, small shops and mostly women owned businesses.  Is there anything better?  In fact, I recently realised that I have ONLY shopped from small businesses all of this year.  I went to the mall once and only bought skincare from bigger brands, everything else I'v bought has been from homegrown brands.  And I am so proud and happy to have done that. Nothing makes me happier than supporting small business and buying handmade things.  I've bought from Sompeedle before, quite a few times before, and every single time I am blown away by her artistry.  This time is no different. We ordered three absolutely beautiful things for her and I am so in love with every single thing.  First up, we got this beautiful necklace in mostly primary colours.  I love the embroidery and the flowers and fish.  This is the kinda thi...

Blogmas Day- 4: Top 5 + 1 Bags of 2020

Hello, hello, By now, you guys know about my deep and abiding love for bags of all kinds! So, how could I not do a Top 5 + 1 (sorry I could not narrow it down to five) Bags of 2020 post?! Truth be told, given how this year was, we did not buy that many bags at all! We bought a few at the very beginning of the year (before things went downhill) and we bought a few bags over the course of the year, but this was nowhere near the usual number of bags we buy on an average! Good for the old bank balance, bad for the soul! Sigh.  So, without much ado, let's jump into my favourite bags of the year!  (Image taken from Chiaroscuro Bags' Instagram) I ordered me a Basil Anabelle- a classic silhouette bag- from Chiaroscuro Bags for my birthday! It arrived only in June (due to the Lockdown, totally understandable) and I fell head-over-heels in love with this beauty!!  If you follow me in Instagram (@whimsybookworm), you may have seen me gush breathlessly over this stunner of...
