Weekend Watch: Binge-Worth OTT Series

 Hey guys,

It is Saturday night, which means it is peak binge o'clock!

Here are some series that we've started watching this weekend! Several of these are adapted from books! Fun, right?

1. Pieces of Her (Netflix)

Based on the eponymous novel by Karin Slaughter, this is a fast-paced thriller series that moves between present-day events and those that occurred in the mid-1980s.

A young woman's life turns upside down when her mother does some ninja-level moves when faced with a shooter at a mall. She finds out about her mom's not-so-kosher past life as she is on the run from an assassin.

2. Rudra (on Disney+ Hotstar)

The official Indian adaptation of Luther, Rudra is a murder mystery/ thriller series that is episodic in nature. The first case was pretty interesting and we're excited to binge the rest of the season tonight!

3. Dropout (Disney+ Hotstar)

Based on the life of tech scammer Elizabeth Holmes, The Dropout traces the meteoric rise and meteoric call of the woman, who has fascinated the world due to the sheer bravado of her scam.

Very excited to watch this one!

4. Uttoron (Hoichoi)

Uttoron is based on a novel and tells the story of Parna, whose life turns upside down when an MMS of hers goes viral. Who are the people that stand by her? Who are the ones who abandon her? A really great drama series and an absolute must-watch! It is also streaming dubbed in Hindi on MXPlayer.

5. Young Wallander Season 2 (Netflix)

The second season of Young Wallander is even better than the first! A young man is brutally killed in a hit and run and on further investigation, the cops find out that the dead man was actually a juvenile offender, who had killed a teacher eight years ago. Who would want this man dead? Why had he killed a teacher eight years ago?

A quick watch and much more engaging than the first season for sure!

Hope you are having a great weekend!
