May 2024 Snapshots.

May was a month of~~~ Hot Days.  Comfort Reads.  Lots of films.  Reaching my Reading Goal and reading my 100th book.  Kitchen experiments.  Cold Coffee.  Cucumber and Cream Cheese Sandwiches.  Successfully doing a No Buy Month.  Melting.  Gorgeous sunsets.  Waiting for respite.  Some sickness.  An overall good month just unbearably hot. I cannot wait for the rains and a break from summer.  I am most proud of not buying a single thing apart from groceries all month long and not even feeling the urge to shop. I might just take this energy into June. Look at me! The shopaholic has finally grown up.

Life in May/// Books, Summer and Positive Affirmations.

May has been far too hot.  So I've sought solace in Books, Coffee and binging films.  Here are some Snapshots from May. Easily my happiest corner of home.  A book filled corner. A much needed gentle reminder.  Lights.  Reading my 100th book of the year.  Hot and sunny mornings.  And oh the never ending construction and new skyscrapers popping up everywhere.  A mix of old and new books.

Vignettes: Old Memories from my Old Camera.

Hello Loves!  This month has been brutal and I have taken a sort of break from the Blog.  It's too hot to do anything and I for one am eagerly waiting for the rains and to return to my normal life.  ❤ I have been seeing these old times digi cams all over IG.  A basic point and shoot and girls decorating them to their hearts content.  I wanted in on the action and I didn't even have to go out and buy a camera. I had one. From back in 2012.  I used it for years. From 2012 to 2018 and I loved it. I upgraded my camera in 2018 and now it is time to upgrade it again but I don't see myself doing that anytime soon. I don't really need to do it and I honestly don't see myself getting a very bulky camera.  So I was happy to reunite with my trusty and tinyyyyy Canon IXUS. I had forgotten how tiny and compact she was and honestly, if I do end up getting a new camera at some point this year or in 2025, I might just get a point and shoot. Something I can carry in my bag and use

Friday Favourites: Summer Movie Recommendations

Hello, hello, Another weekend and if you, like us, plan to spend it in the relatively cooler comforts of home, then we have some movie recommendations for you!  Let's get started!  Late Night with the Devil: An interesting horror-thriller movie where a late night TV host bites off more than he can chew when a Halloween special episode (live) turns out to be truly horrifying. This is a really nicely done movie and there is a nice little twist as well. If you are not a horror fan, don't fret, it is not very scary. Can be rented on Prime Video.  Thanksgiving: A slasher flick set in a small town on Thanksgiving. A mysterious entity starts killing people, who survived a Thanksgiving night early Black Friday stampede at a popular store. A group of high school friends finds themselves in the sights of this killer and it is a race against time to save themselves from him. This is a fun, fast-paced slasher flick. Full time pass. Can be rented on Prime Video.  Godzilla x Kong: The New E

Monday Moods: Days of May.

Hello Loves!  Long time no Blog.  The summer heat has me beat.   All I've done is read, make simple meals, drink cold water and hiding from the sun.  Here's what May has looked like..  Gulmohar Season might redeem summer ever so slightly.  Love these fiery blooms.  Books with art and illustration have my whole heart.  Duck Duck Goose 🦆 A cute bookmark from Piko Shop.  A stack of books I've recently read and loved.  Summer Daze.  Lights ✨  Hope summer is treating you gently.

May Daily Journal.

Hello Loves!  For my daily journal in May, I dug out an old notebook from my stash. I bought this notebook from Fabindia over 10 years ago but never put it to use. Typical Stationery Hoarder things, but see here I am ten years later and finally using it and loving it.  So a little bit of hoarding never hurt no one.  I love the pale pink and these beautiful turtles on the cover.  They are so cute and perfect for summer.  These turtles look so chilled out.  A page to set some monthly goals.  Some Matisse 🌸 The front page all decorated.  Wanted something summery and happy. And I am very happy with how this turned out.

May Hopefuls aka TBR.

Made a TBR for May.  I hope I manage to stick most of it.

Landour Memories.

Been missing Landour a little something extra lately. Maybe it's this insane heatwave we've been living through. I wish I could just blink and be back in my favourite place.  These are pictures from 2016, my first trip to Landour. We stayed at The Rokeby Manor and had the best time ever.  I can't wait to go back ✨
