 Happy Ray Day to everyone who celebrates.  Satyajit Ray is hands down my favourite Filmmaker, Writer and Bengali 😎 There will never be another quite like him.  So every year on his birth anniversary I re-read some of his stories and re-watch some of his incredible films.

 Spent my morning, moving my books around and sprucing up my space. Pretty much my favourite thing in the world to do.  Piles of stories to get lost in.  Books I am hoping to read this year.  This makes me so happy.  I love cleaning and organising so much.  A pretty space is good for my soul.  Used this indigo stole to cover my side table.  Some Ray merch to make my corner pop. 

 Hello Loves!  Hope you're having a good first weekend of the year.  I read a little, rested up and watched some old Feluda films. Started a new book and even brought out my special markers to highlight. 📖 All good things. 

 Happy Shashti everyone.  Pujo began with some much needed rain, after days of humidity and heat.  My heart was singing when we had some rains this evening.  So I made myself a cup of ☕ tea and cosied up with a comfort read~ Ray.  Here's what today looked like: 

  Happy Birthday Mr. Ray 📽📖📽  I am pretty Ray obsessed, everything from his magnificent films to his stories, his creations bring me so much joy.  I plan on reading this book, The Cinema of Satyajit Ray by Bhaskar Chattopaadhyay, through the month and watch, well re-watch some of my favourite Ray films. May is already looks promising ❤

  Hello Loves!  Can you even believe November is here?  November always feels like it's time to wind down and rest and get ready for the slower and brighter months of the year. We prepare for Diwali and get our homes in order and then celebrate the festival of lights.  I am always happy when November rolls around. It's always a month for joy and love. It's my sister's birthday and we try to do little things we enjoy all month long.  Eat good food.  Go to her favourite places.  Watch her favourite films.  Read some good books.  I am so happy November is here again.  This November I am participating in NaNoWriMo. Which is a month long writing challenge, the goal is to write a novel in a month. Now it could be something you are already working on or it could be an entirely new thing. I do have some half-written projects that I could work on but I am choosing to focus something new and flesh out and work on an idea that I've had since 2021. ...

 Hello Loves!  August was a month of more reading and very little book buying. I went nearly all month without buying a single book, because my reading for the month was more than sorted. I hate a basket full of books waiting for me and I had no real need for books.  But then I spent an afternoon bookshop hopping and of course didn't leave empty handed.  I bought a total of 7 books and here is a little haul.  I went to Granth Books in Juhu and went to the iconic Prithvi Theatre and browsed at their bookshop Paperback and picked some books.  Here they are.  A Korean historical fiction, that I mainly picked up for my sister who immediately picked it up and read it. A review will come soon. This is set in Korean and Hawaii and is about Picture Brides, basically a kind of arranged marriage between Korean girls and Korean men that were immigrants in the US.  Hello Loves!  How is the weekend treating you? All good I hope. This long weekend my plan is to read some and write a little and set up my planner and journal pages for May.  I hope this is a nice longgg weekend for all of us.  I also hope to binge some shows and films and have myself a good old time.  For reading this is what we are reading.  The Adventures of Feluda Vol. II by Satyajit Ray: I am 56% through my beautiful book, gosh Feluda is always such a good idea and perfect summer reading in my books, and my plan for this weekend and the end of April is finish off these volume of stories that I've been slowly reading since the middle of the month. I read a story every few days and read a little before bedtime and it's honestly been such a happy time.  If you haven't had the joy of reading these books, please pick one up.  Hello Loves!  Time for a book haul.  I got these books in the last few days of December and these were bought with the express purpose of reading in the New Year. So this is a little bit of preparatory haul.  But mostly this is a haul of favourites.  Big and Lifelong Favourite- Ray.  Comfort Favourite- Sudha Murty.  Someone I've read before and loved- Tabish Khair.  This was such a happy haul.  And I've already read two books out of these five.  So good tidings all around.  A beautiful little book.  I love these Puffin Chapter Books.
