A Journal Face-Lift.

Image
Hello Loves!  I recently had a brainwave and decided to give my trifold journal a bit of a revamp. I bought some lace and vintage style papers from Meesho and put it to use.  This is my journal Before.  The papers I used.  Got them for very cheap on Meesho.  A strip of lace makes such a difference.  Added some papers and some ribbon and my journal feels new all over again. And I love how it looks! My journal is from The Leather Chef, I bought this a few months ago and I really like it.  I use it to house my Book Journal, a mini Colouring book, my tiny book of random lists and another Colouring book,  It's sorta like my Analog Hobbies Journal.  :)

October 2026 Favourites!

Image
October is over. A month of Durga Pujo and Lokkhi Pujo, the most festive month in a Bengali's year.  There was a good dose of spookiness.  & For me it was a year since my stroke and a long year of healing since.  Honestly I was a little scared going into this month, since last October absolutely kicked my butt.  But this month has turned out rather kind.  Here are my faves from this month... Maa in all her glory.  Planner pages that I've minimally decorated.  Terrace time while it rains and reading for a couple of hours, while people watching on the side.  Blisssssss! Reading an old beloved book from my childhood.  Reading Bengali stories for Pujo. I started this book back in April and read half of it for Nobo Borsho and picked it up again this month and finished it for Pujo.  Did a fair amount of journaling this month and it made me so happy.  Also new journals came into our lives which is always a good thing be.  Lo...

Journal Pages.

Hello Loves! Here are some of my journal pages... Journaled my Pujo days, simple as they were.  Added some whimsy to my journal, bought some lace to add to things for some fun.  Flowers and joy.

October Begins...

Hello  Loves! October has begun and has been wonderful so far. We've had some cold, rainy days that I spent on the terrace reading and watching the rain.  I had the first year anniversary of my stroke, and I had delicious food and had a cake.  Some sadness was journaled away. Nothing beats putting pen to paper and getting our muddled thoughts out on your system.  Reading has been going on well. I started October with two chunky books, Anna Karenina that I am still reading. And American Hagwon which wasn't my cup of tea. I really wanted to like it but it just didn't land.  It felt too long and unending.  A disappointing read.  Re-reading a childhood book that's old and battered and wonderful.  Spooky Mugs are out.  A yearly tradition that makes me so happy.  One year of my horrid stroke and instead of crying about it, I decided to eat some cake and commemorate a horrid day.  Journal Spreads & My Journal. 💚💚💚💚 A rain-kis...

The Life I Miss So Much!

Image
I've been away from home, Mumbai for over a year now. I came to my hometown in June 2025 when Maa passed away. Then in October I got my stroke and got paralyzed and any plans of going back home got indefinitely delayed. Now I don't even know when we'll go back. I miss home with a such severe longing..I miss my books, my stationery, my journals and my life.  I miss my books so much. I wish I could somehow I could teleport to Mumbai for an hour and grab some of my books to bring them with me.  I miss my bags. Not like I'm going anywhere but it would be nice to be with my bags.  And I miss little treats now and again. And I miss all to food from home.  I miss my quiet reading and journaling days.  And my miss coffeeshop reading 🎀 Hopefully I get better soon and go back to my ordinary and blissful life 💗

Look who's Back!

Hello, its me, your resident bookworm. I am still here, still around. Still healing. Still recovering from my brain stroke. It's nearly been a year, I'm slowly getting back to normal.  Life has been going on, I've been reading, journaling, moving my out of wack body and trying to manifest a future where I am somewhat normal again. My old life seems so far away sometimes. The life in Mumbai somedays feels like a dream, a fever dream. Hopefully I can find myself back to that old version of myself.  Here is journal eco-system for 2026.  My planner, my journal and my reading journal. I will do a detailed post on my very minimal system soon. I have really simplified my planner stack this year, mostly out go necessity. But I am quite pleased with how things turned out.  A stack of my beloved books. A TBR pile I made for August.  I haven't blogged since June! I meant to but most days I get tired by evening and just want to read and hangout with my Baba and sister...
