 Hello Loves!  Today was a good day.  Started a new book and read more than half of it and I am really enjoying myself.  Put some soft red velvet bows on my Kindle and my sister's as well. Just festive cheery vibes all around.  Here's what today looked like:  Mother India by Prayaag Akbar is a novella about two young Indians, a man and a woman who live and work in Delhi.  It's a story set firmly in India today, the plague of social media echo chambers and how the powerful and corrosive these carefully worded and manipulated videos/words and content can be.  I  am half way through and really enjoying and appreciating this book.  A cheerful bookmark to keep me company in an often melancholic book.  I read and absolutely loved Leila by the same author and I knew I would enjoy this one as well.  Now for some cutesy things:  We recently got a roll of red velvet ribbon and I wanted to add some festive cheer to my Kindle cover....

 After 9 long years, my sister, finally, upgraded her Kindle Paperwhite!  Her old Paperwhite's storage was almost full and one day it just got hung and didn't start up until we kept pressing down on the on/off button till our fingers nearly fell off!  So, it was time for an upgrade! The new (11th generation) Kindle Paperwhite has a bigger screen and is also a bit lighter (feels that way) than the older Paperwhite that she had.  Here are some quick pictures. Here it is! The cover is a standard Kindle cover that can be bought from Amazon. It is very lightweight and doesn't add any extra weight to the Kindle.  The screen is nice and big, which is always a good thing!  As you can see, the newer Paperwhite is a smidge bigger than the older one but the screen width is significant.  Very excited to get reading on this!  If you're looking to upgrade your Kindle, now is a good time because the Amazon Republic Day sale is on and there are decent discou...

 Hello Loves!  I am soo excited to do this post because I am so happy with how this little project turned out.  So, I have had this particular Kindle since 2018.  And so far, she's been pristine and living in covers.  Enter 2022 and my hand being in pain since April, I've found that having my Kindle nangu..aka without a cover to add weight to it, is so much kinder to my hand. So for most of this year, I've kept my Kindle naked and snug in a sleeve.  Earlier this year, my sister did up her Kindle's back and it looked so cute, so I wanted to do it too.  Finally, after months of thinking about it, I just took the plunge and got out some of my boxes of stickers and got started.  It took me around half an hour because I am a professional procrastinator and rethink and overthink every damn thing.  Hello, hello! It has been a rough few days with my mom, dad and sister all being unwell! Not Covid, thank God, but other health issues. I have been finding small moments of joy and calm in the midst of all the stress and running around.  Some glimpses from my world on this Monday.  A spread from my weekly Gratitude Journal before the ink. Hello Loves!  If you know me you know I love me a bag or two.  When I came across Taaga by Reema I swiftly fell in love with her bags and her quirky prints.  I also love that she has so many different styles of bags.  This bunch of bags is my second time getting something from her.   Hello June!  Hello Rains!  Hello Blog Birthday!  My Blog turns 8 this year.  8!  I am rather surprised that I have managed to keep with this blog and shared my love for books, bookish things, art and small businesses I love and some glimpses of my lifestyle.  I have loved every minute of it.  Thank-you for coming along for the ride.  June also marks the anniversary of my sister joining the Corporate World many moons ago.
