Hello!  Sharing one of my sister's looks for a change today.  My sister wore this gorgeous chandler silk chikan kurta from Lucknow for one of the days of Pujo.  My sister did all of her Pujo shopping in February this year. She was in Lucknow for work and thankfully had enough time to hit Ada Chikan and pick up a few things.  She got herself 3 chanderi kurtas..one in purple, one in aquamarine and this one in peach.  She also kindly got me 2 cotton kurtas in yellow and one in beige.  If you didn't know, my family and I have lived in Lucknow for 5 years and it's a city that I love for many reasons, chikankari is one of those reasons.  Back in the day, I had a kurta in pretty much alllll the colours...lilac, pink, yellow, green and white (of course). But that collection dwindled down to a few pieces here and there.  I am so happy to have a some chikan beauties in my life again.  My sister's outfit matched this pandal ...

Sunkissed Converse.  Kitty re-usable tote.  And a Zara shopping bag with 2 tees in it.  :)  An ordinary glance into my home.  Plushies from this place called Connect Zoey.  The Raccoon is called Stephen Strange.  :) A cozy corner of my bedroom.  Full of plushies and cushions and pillows, a perfect place to read and get cozy on a rainy day.  A happy pile up.  :) Of course, no mention of my home is complete without a few mentions about my book filled space.  I love that one of the first things you notice about my home as soon as you walk in is my overwhelming number of books. I've had so many people comment on my precious books the minute the walk in. Family friends, strangers and even various service folks.  It's always complimentary and kind and makes me feel very happy. 

1. White Converses. A summer staple.  Love.  I have 4 pairs of Converse, a classic red from my college days. A black one from 10 years ago. A bright green one with funky laces. Plus this, newest pair.  2. Faber Stories.  Short stories and beautiful covers.  3. Pictures and memories.  Also, my gorgeous Instax mini :)  4. My Lil Sister backpack from The Burlap People in the Tulsi print.  Little darling.  5. Sister of my Heart by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, an old and beloved favourite.  It's time to re-read it soon. 

Hello!  & Happy Friday!  Time for another batch of things I've been loving lately... 1. Ornate Juttis/// I love, love, love these gorgeous red juttis. I got them for Christmas from a friend who was travelling in Punjab on work and these are so perfect. It's not something I would have picked out for myself and honestly, I don't know when I'll ever wear something this ornate but these are such things of beauty. Maybe, I should wear them just because. They are bound to add a pop of colour to any old outfit.  Indian craftsmanship and artistry is so incredible it sometimes blows my mind.  2. My Current Read--- Uncommon Type by Tom Hanks/// I am loving this book. I am really taking my time with it. I have been reading this for the past week and these stories are warm, charming and infused with so much character. I can't believe I had this gem of a book sitting on my bookshelves for  over a year and didn't read it. Silly me....

Hello!  And how is this Friday treating you?  I, unfortunately, had a slight tumble down the stairs on Tuesday and have been trying to quietly recuperate from it ever since. I am trying to stay off my feet and rest the best I can.  My bruise is a lot better but I am still in a fair amount of pain. Nothing a little bit of rest and reading can't fix. Sadly, being an adult means you have to look after yourself and do a ton of home chores and such. So resting is not as easy as you would think.  :(  Don't grow up kids! It's a trap!  Let's focus on some happy things in life shall we?  Here are some recent favourites from my life.  1. My Current Read//// Murder in the City by Supratim Sarkar. A collection of 12 Case Files from Kolkata Police. I am a little bit in, around 4 stories and I am really enjoying it a lot. The cases range from murder, kidnapping and I love that the book comprises of cases from 1930s, 50s and 80s. I am so...

Hello!  Time to list some of my favourite fashions for 2017.  I loved so many different elements and styles through the year and today I want to share some of my absolute favourites.  So let's jump into it.  1. Closet Clean-Up/// The best fashion decision I made in very early 2017 was to clean my closets properly and re-organise it thoroughly. It took some time and a lot of effort but it was so worth it! It has made getting dressed super-duper easy. I hadn't re-organised my closet properly since 2012 and this overhaul was a long time coming! 2. Bangles/// I fell back in love with an armful of bangles. I dug out old favourites- like these wooden ones from Fabindia and paired them with my silver ones. 3. Pins/// 2017 was the year of pins. I bought pins and wore pins and I even stuck some pins in my bags and backpacks. It is such a wonderful way to add a little something special to an outfit. I am obsessed and I don't see my love ...
