Image
This week's favourite things.  Journal Pages this week.  My Daily Journal makes me so happy.  A bookmark with a message.  My sister bought me this as a reminder.  The moon this morning.  New eBooks added to my shelves.  The front page of my daily journal/memory keeper.  A new mug I love so much. 🐻

Dear Diary: 7.1.25

Image
Dear Diary,  Today was a good day.  I took down my Christmas Tree and even packed it away in the loft. Always a bittersweet feeling. Tidied up the flat and even sorted through and moved my coffee mugs around.  Had a cup of delicious cardamom tea, the weather has cooled down and it was a perfect morning to enjoy some chai.  Watched an amazing Bengali film called Habji Gabji on Hoichoi which shows the perils of video game addiction and how harmful it can be for young kids.  Also re-watched Godzilla Minus 1 and loved it.  Read a little and had a very chill day.  So grateful 🧿 for these mellow days of early January.  Here's what today looked like..

General Whimsy: Homebody Diaries.

Image
I am your classic homebody. Being at home is my constant state of being.  I am happiest at home.  Every year I try to be more out going and adventurous but I revert back to being my cozy, slow and introverted self.  And honestly, I just need to make my peace with it.  :)  I love being at home. Crochet cuties and a cup of coffee.  Gentle mornings and gender phool.  💛💛💛💛 The last nearly two months, my building is getting some serious work done. An almost full renovation and up keep is underway and it's been loud and dusty and the complete opposite of peace and calm.  :(  This has taken quite a toll on my mental health. But we put our big girl pants on and deal with it. (Kinda, I am spiralling but putting on a brave face) Here are some glimpses of the quieter and gentler days.  A spot of sunshine and a little frog.  A sun kissed pile of books.  This one I am keen to read in 2024.  Spooky and Booky mug.  This wa...

Blogmas Day-2: Our Favourite Mugs of 2023

Image
Hey, hey! My sister and I love mugs! We have an unhealthy obsession with mugs and have collected a decent amount of them over the years.  We bought some new ones to add to our collection this year and so, we thought of sharing some of our favourite and most-used mugs of 2023!  Let's get started!  This cute Teapot and cup set is from Weaving Homes and I love it! I have always wanted a cute teapot and this one is single serve and just perfect!  Orange Skies is a favourite store of ours to get pretty ceramic mugs and this cream coloured mug with tiny speckles is my sister's favourite!  Nilay Studios has the cutest mugs! This cute peach cup and saucer set is just adorable!  This cute cloud cup and saucer set is also from Nilay Studios .  This is one of our Christmas mugs from 2022 and it is this cute cat mug from Amazon! Love it!  This is one of our Halloween themed mugs from this year and look how adorable it is!  This big pink hearts m...

Hello June 2023! + A Day in My Life!

Image
Hello June!  Hello Rains!  Hello Thunder and Cozy Days full of Reading!  I feel alive when the monsoons come along. I cannot wait for proper rainy days and just chilling and reading some rain appropriate books.  I am so happy you are here June.  Be Good.  Be Kind.  Be Rainy and Wonderful!  ⛈⛈⛈⛈⛈⛈⛈⛈⛈ Today looked a little like this///  First I was feeling all the feelings about June. June for the longest time meant new beginnings, new term of school and kicking off another year of learning and of course the advent of rains.  So I wrote a little something.  June 1st also marks my sister's starting work anniversary so we try to do a little something special and this afternoon we treated ourselves to some Sushi to celebrate.  Sushi and a few dumplings.  :)  Yum Yum.  I also kicked some reading.  I am reading two books at the moment.  The Covenant of Water by Abraham Verghese: I technically started t...

Monthly Favourites: April 2022.

Image
Hello Loves!  The last Friday of the month means it's time to list my Monthly Favourites for the month.  I'll be honest, April has been horrendous to me. I am not even joking or exaggerating. April has historically also never been very good to be. It was the month of school results when I was a kid. It was the start of summer, my least favourite time of the year and it was exactly a year ago when I caught Covid and I am still, to this damn day dealing with it's aftermath.  April is not my favourite.  Still, I was excited to jump into this month. Excited to read some good books~ mostly all Bengali and watch a ton of films and make the most of this month. Celebrate Bengali New Year and do small things of joy.  Well, not everything went to plan.  My skin fell apart. Pretty much all of this month has involved acne all over my chin and cheeks. Painful and infuriating.  Then I had some gum issues.  And I have had another flare up of carpal tunnel....

5 Things on Our Wishlist Right Now.

Image
Hello, hello! Wanted to quickly share the top 5 things that are on my sister and my wishlist right now! These are big and small things and we look at these as little treats to ourselves for surviving these times! :) Also since this is my Birthday Month I am always looking for presents for myself :)  1. Uni-Ball One Gel Pens  I just love gel pens and can't have enough of them! These newest gel pens from Uni-ball are supposed to be rich and can write to surfaces like vellum as well! We use a lot of vellum paper in our journals and being able to write on them is a huge plus!  2. SoftCover Purple Notebook from myPaperClip  These softcover notebooks from myPaperClip look perfect for my 'daily pages' (where I write my feelings, thoughts, events of the day in a more free-flowing, stream of consciousness manner) journal! Plus, isn't that colour so cute?!  3.  Small Drawer Pouch from Hobonichi My sister is eyeing this stationery pouch from ...

Monday Mood: A Weekend Diary.

Image
Hello Loves!  Hope you've had a good weekend.  Mine was a mixed bag.  Some good. Some bad. Some anxious.  Here's a look at the good.  Planner time is happy time.  I am completely up to date on my planners and journals and it makes me so happy.  I am also writing regularly in my book journal and keeping my bookish thoughts organised and getting them down on paper.  Here are my daily planner and book journal looking pretty.  Planner spread for this week. Plants.  Flowers.  Clean and simple with plenty room to write.  Instead of writing in my daily journal on Sunday I wanted to create a little art journal spread.  So I did that instead and wrote myself a little reminder.  My planner tote and wool pen pouch looking cozy. I really like the idea of moving into knitted things in the winter. I like thinking that my pens and pencils are warm and toasty in this woolen pouch that I randomly found on Amazon.  I love ho...
