Blogmas Day- 4: Top 5 + 1 Bags of 2020

Hello, hello, By now, you guys know about my deep and abiding love for bags of all kinds! So, how could I not do a Top 5 + 1 (sorry I could not narrow it down to five) Bags of 2020 post?! Truth be told, given how this year was, we did not buy that many bags at all! We bought a few at the very beginning of the year (before things went downhill) and we bought a few bags over the course of the year, but this was nowhere near the usual number of bags we buy on an average! Good for the old bank balance, bad for the soul! Sigh.  So, without much ado, let's jump into my favourite bags of the year!  (Image taken from Chiaroscuro Bags' Instagram) I ordered me a Basil Anabelle- a classic silhouette bag- from Chiaroscuro Bags for my birthday! It arrived only in June (due to the Lockdown, totally understandable) and I fell head-over-heels in love with this beauty!!  If you follow me in Instagram (@whimsybookworm), you may have seen me gush breathlessly over this stunner of...

Friday Favourites: Embroidered Headbands from Label Miraa.

Hello!  Long time no Friday Faves huh?  Well, for today's edition of Friday Favourites, I have a new-isa love of mine.  I came across Lable Miraa on Instagram a couple of months ago and it was love at first sight.  Embroidery. Pastels.  Everything about this brand's aesthetic spoke to me.  Plus, I do have a mild obsession with all things headbands and hairbands.  I guess its my latent love for Blair Waldorf that continues to linger on.  Label Miraa makes all sorts of beautiful things.  Hairbands.  Kindle cases.  Face masks.  Laptop Sleeves.  Bags.  Cushion Covers.  It's all gorgeous and simply delightful. And the added joy of buying something handmade and supporting an indie shop.  Yay!  I am all about that life.  Here are most of the hairbands I got from them, I have one more but I can't seem to find it. Oh well, these are all gorgeous and so well-made and rather comfortable to wear.  I...

A Day in My Life: March Mellow-ness. ( Coffee + Fluffy Slippers + Mini Book Review + Journal + Spring. )

Hello!  Today was a perfectly ordinary day.  A day that will probably blend into a million others just like it.  I will probably not even remember 10 or 20 years from now.  But.. Today was ordinary and happy and quiet in a million little ways.  There was early morning light.  Reading a good book.  Finishing said good book.  2 cups of coffee. Nachos.  Homemade jam.  New pillows! (I can't wait to sleep tonight.)  Lebu cha.  & A dinner cooked over laughs and smiles.  We've made Chicken Stroganoff and Basil Rice and an Omelette with onion, tomatoes and mushrooms.  A little feast.  I am writing this post as the meal waits for us.  A slow, sweet and happy day.  The kind of day that I wish for on most days.  The BIG days, the monumental ones are good. Of course they are.  But there is something entirely magical about the little joys of a day well ...
