 Hello, hello, We interrupt our regular list-making and end-of-the-year wrap-ups to bring you some bougainvillea joy! Our garden is full of these vibrant blooms and we can't help staring at them or clicking pics every single day!  I love how these flowers start out by being coral coloured and then morph into vibrant purple blooms!  I love looking at these colours against the bright, clear blue skies.  Ah see!  See? So lovely! I hope you are having a good week and are excited about the weekend!  See you tomorrow with the first of our annual reading favourites list!   

Hello Loves!  Here we are at the very end of 2020 and I think most of us are happy to see the end of this year. It's  been one hell of a ride hasn't it? Yet, here we are.  We survived what this year threw at us. If a year ago someone told me that come March the whole world would be forced indoors and sanitisers would be our new best friend and I'd buy so many masks, I'd ask you what you had been smoking?!  Yet we were thrown a curve ball and we survived.  It sucked.  We complained.  Worried.  Cried.  Found comfort in food and books and sleep and TV shows.  MY YEAR IN BOOKS  When it came to books I had a mixed bag of a year.  I honestly thought I'd read so much more, since we were going to be home but the stress and anxiety about this pandemic made reading harder on some days and overall I think read quite less this year.  But honestly I am not going to be hard on myself for my not-so-stellar reading.   It was goo...

 Hello Loves!  Today's post is one that brings me a lot of joy.  Coffe and Tea Mugs, if you've followed me for a for a bit or a while, you know that I enjoy my cup of coffee and I enjoy having it in a beautiful mug.  My motley collection of mugs is one of my favourite things in the whole world. Postcards from the Moon.  Or, well of the Moon.  Pictures clicked in March during some kind of super moon.  I remember having a less than perfect day, and that night I looked out the window and saw this glorious full moon and feeling all kinds of joyful.  This has been my greatest learnings from the last few months, that its the littlest things that bring the brightest joys.  A full moon night.  A gentle breeze at the end of a long day.  Flowers blooming.  A cup of perfectly brewed chai.  A good nap. Hello!  How are thing with you?  The last few days have gone by in a blur. I swear, I intended to be better at blogging during this time. Write more. Do more reviews.  But..honestly...between all the house work, cooking and worrying constantly being productive is too much of an ask.  I applaud anyone who's making the most of these days and learning something new and diminishing their TBR, but me..I am allowing myself to feel the things I am feeling, losing myself in a good book or two and just cooking up comfort food.  That's how I am coping.  A journal entry apt for this occasion.  Our lockdown has been extended till the 30th of April, it came as no surprise. My city is struggling, the cases are above 1000 and this lockdown is absolutely necessary. Devastating but needed. I am no stranger to being homebound. I am happy to be home. Hello!  Today was a perfectly ordinary day.  A day that will probably blend into a million others just like it.  I will probably not even remember 10 or 20 years from now.  But.. Today was ordinary and happy and quiet in a million little ways.  There was early morning light.  Reading a good book.  Finishing said good book.  2 cups of coffee. Nachos.  Homemade jam.  New pillows! (I can't wait to sleep tonight.)  Lebu cha.  & A dinner cooked over laughs and smiles.  We've made Chicken Stroganoff and Basil Rice and an Omelette with onion, tomatoes and mushrooms.  A little feast.  I am writing this post as the meal waits for us.  A slow, sweet and happy day.  The kind of day that I wish for on most days.  The BIG days, the monumental ones are good. Hello! Let's call this a..What's in my Pen Bag? Answer: Ink Pens.  This slim little pencil case of mine holds all of my ink pens that I am currently using. Lately, given my propensity to suffer from carpal tunnel and its shooting pains, ink pens are proving to be a Godsend. They are much kinder to my hands and writing with them is way easier on my achy hands and fingers than gel or any other kind of pen.  So, I find myself reaching for my ink pens way more than any other kind.  Thankfully, I have a little bit of an ink pen collection and a plethora of inks to choose from, thanks to my sister's longstanding love for all things inks and ink pens.  These are my most loved and most favoured pens of the moment.  2 of these are new and the others are old faves.  From L to R:  1. Chumbak is one of my favourite places to shop from, I love pretty much everything they make.  Mugs.  Stationery.  Plushies/ Cushions.  Shoes.  Watches.  Tableware.  Their aesthetic is right up my alley.  My home is full of their beautiful things.  I recently made a small spree from them and got a couple of things.  Two cushion covers (not pictures here.)
