 All I want to do this month is lose myself in my books and ignore the world and all my problems. 

 Here’s what today has looked and felt like:  Setting up my journal for April.  Putting pen to paper.  Reading this incredible book, Stroke of Death by Shampa Roy. It’s a murder mystery set in Bengal in 1904 and in a small village in soon to he East Bengal. A Rajbari and its many inhabitants and a mystery that has me hooked. My weekend reading looks allll sorted!  Painted my nails 💅 with a touch of sparkle.  And this bookmark has my whole heart! 

 Today was a fun day.  It's a month to go for my birthday and this day always feels so special. I used to start a countdown to my birthday when I was little.  Now I do something fun.  Today I coloured in a colouring book.  Journaled.  Caught up in my Reading Journal.  Just chill things.  Here's what my day looked like:  Now it's time to watch an old favourite. 

 Hello Loves!  Hope you're having a good first weekend of the year.  I read a little, rested up and watched some old Feluda films. Started a new book and even brought out my special markers to highlight. 📖 All good things. 

 Hello Loves 🎄 Today was a largely good day.  Finished reading Mother India by Prayaag Akbar and really loved it. It's a short read and if you want to read something quick and poignant before the year ends, you can pick it up.  Picked a new book.  Rested. Because I have some swollen gums and headache and toothache. So a nap was taken.  Here's what my day looked like:  Have some strawberry ice-cream to soothe my toothache 🍓 

 Reading has been kinda off lately.  I am not exactly in a reading slump, but nothing I've read in a long time that made me all kinds of happy. Plus, I think I've been watching more things than reading and I really want to change that and get back to my reading like a maniac avatar.  This weekend I am reading something really good that I am excited about.  This Motherless Land by Nikki May: A story of two cousins and several family secrets and drama. Set in Nigeria and UK in the 80s, I am 25% in so far and really loving it.  Our two main characters, Funke and Liv are both extremely likable and real.  I am so happy to spend my weekend reading this book. And spending some time in the 80s.  A little friend keeping me company as I read in bed. 

 Hello Loves 🎀 I am feeling a little under the weather today.  So took things easy. Read a bit.  Chilled out.  And hoped for rain which has pretty much abandoned Mumbai.  Started this viral TikTok sensation..  My hopes/expectations are measured, I am just hoping for an easy and happy and emotional read.  I am a couple of pages in and quite happy as of now.  iPad, book and annotation things.  Finished reading this last night and it was cute and wholesome and full of cats.  In many ways it's exactly what you expect from a Japanese book.  Worth a read.  Iced-coffee.  Words of wisdom 🌿

  Today has been a perfectly lazy and cozy Saturday.  It's been rainy and grey and I've been curled up with a book of folktales from all over India.  Flowers and Folktales.  I adore these crochet flowers.  My Moomin Bookmark keeping me company.  The Owl Delivered Good News All Night Long, Edited by Lopamudra Maitra Bajpai is the perfect book to kick start my reading for Indian Books in August.  A collection of Folktales and Legends and Myths from all over India.  My plan is to read a couple of stories every day and read this through the month.  I hope this Saturday has been relaxing for you too. 

 Hello Loves 🪻🩷🪻 These July days have been a blur of books (mostly good), tea and rains and binging the X Men movies, which I forgot how much I love. I've also been watching some seriously weird (not good) Hindi films from the early aughts.. they might not be the best films but being back in that era makes me feel nostalgic and warm and fuzzy.  Anyhoo..  Here is what my days have looked like:  More Days at the Morisaki Bookshop was read slowly over the week. I re-read the first book before jumping into the sequel. I love this cozy little world and it's gentle and bookish people. I love books about books and this one about a second hand bookshop just makes me happy.  I will say that I preferred and enjoyed the first book a little bit more than the second one. But both these books are an enjoyable ride.  Poirot is perfect for rainy days.  Flowers and Kafka.  Read Earth by John Boyne in pretty much one sitting and really enjoyed it. This is the se...
