How to Feel Better on Blue Days. {Blogmas Day- 8.}

 Hello Loves.  Today was a blue day, a day when, for no real reason I just feel off and sad and alll up in my feelings.  It's OK. Shitty days happen and we find ways to deal with them. I think everyone has their own recipe for handling a day like this, little ways to snap out of it or at the very least manage your feels so you can navigate the day.  Over the years, I have learnt a few things I do to feel better.  Here are some of my tried and tested methods that work for me.  I hope this helps.  WAYS TO FEEL BETTER:   1. Take a deep breath and identify what you are feeling and maybe why you are feeling this way. Sometimes there are external things that make us feel off. Did something happen? Can you do something about it? Or is it just an unexplained bout of sadness. Allow yourself to feel it. Feel sad. Feel blue. Hiding from it or ignoring it won't do you any good. So you might as well let it come over and get comfortable.  I usually tell my...

21 Tips on Surviving the 21 Day Lockdown.

Hello!  How are you?  Really, how are you?  We find ourselves in this strange time, this period of uncertainty and fear and I know its hard on all us. Some more than others. But all of us are feeling this wave of anxiety and stress and that is totally normal. I know I've been feeling pretty numb these past few days.  21 days in a long time.  A long time to be home and doing everything by ourselves.  Some of us have never been in for so long. EVER.  And some of us find ourselves doing home chores and cooking for the first time ever...I see people freaking out on my FB and basically nearly dying from ghar ka kaam.  I feel ya!  So I thought, I'd share some tips and trick to make these 21 days a little bit more bearable.  I wanted to share some tips on chores and doing your own household work, I don't know if I've ever talked about it in detail but for nearly 2 years, 2016-2018, my sister and I were without a domestic...

Travel Diary: Ellora Caves, Aurangabad & Some Travel Tips.

Hello!  I spent a part of my birthday exploring the caves at Ellora.  This place had been on my travel wish list for absolute ages.  To see these marvels of art and history up close and personal. I was especially curious to see these caves after I saw the Feluda film Kailashe Kelenkari , where Feluda, Topshe and Lalmohan Babu fight smugglers who are looting Indian artefacts.  A fun film and a little travel diary in itself.  :)  We, my parents and I, spent close to an hour and a half exploring the caves and taking pictures and generally marvelling at it all.  I just can't wrap my mind around the fact the a group of people made all of this out of nothing. Carving away and chipping away rock to make this.  TRAVEL GUIDELINES & TRAVEL TIPS FOR ELLORA CAVES 1.  Wear comfy shoes at all cost. Lace up keds/sneakers if possible. There is a fair amount of walking involved and steep stairs a...

Blogmas Day- 16: Stop and Smell the Roses + Tips on Slowing Down.

Hello!  I think December is a perfect time to slow down and take stock of the whole year that honestly feels like it has whizzed by.  There is no better time to slow down and smell the roses..or jasmine, whatever tickles your fancy.  Here some ways I've been slowing down lately... TIPS ON SLOWING DOWN/// 1. Slow Mornings/// Start the day right. My idea of doing so involves keeping away from my phone for as long as I humanly can. I know this is easier said than done, for years now we've become used to reaching for our phones first thing in the morning, this sad fact made easy because don't we all use our phones as alarm clocks? Don't tell me you don't quickly turn off your alarm and then fall into the rabbit hole of IG and Facebook and Twitter and a ton of online chatter. I do too. And I hate it so much.  So much! So recently, my goal has been to wake up. Put my phone on charge, don't even glance at it. Keep it on Airpla...
