Friday Favourites: Shows, Writing and Slowing Down.

 Another Friday and another batch of Favourite Things.  Back to my laptop and writing after far too long and it feels so good.  Sensitive and not sorry.  A new to me show that I am binging and loving. Reading in bed and feeling cozy. Meem Se Mohobbat finale was just too cute for words. Light and trying to find my way out of darkness.

Friday Favourites: Women's Day. 8/3/24

  Happy Women's Day ♀🌹👩♀🌹👩♀🌹👩  All women, everywhere deserve a life with respect and dignity and safety.  Here's what my day looked like today:  Sti reading this book that I'm enjoying quite a bit.  A spot of rest and relaxation.  Some planner catching up.  Praying to Shivji.  Some cute things.  New pouches for my pens and things.  A simple and good day 💛✨🙏🌿📖🌻💛

18.2.24 Another Birthday ❤

 Hello Loves!  Today is my Birthday.  I turn another year older and definitely wiser.  TBH, I've been a little sad all month long. I really wanted to have a happy birthday month but..instead I've been feeling deeply unhappy.  Guys, I haven't even bought any books this month. And normally, if you've followed me along for any length of time, you know that February is when I go feral and just buy as many books as my heart desires.  Not this year.  Everything feels so out of sync and my heart just feels heavy and out of it.  Meh.  Today was mildly better, I think watching some of old nostalgic films worked.  I watched You've Got Mail again.  And Two Weeks Notice.  And this evening I watched Bhoot.  It was a chill day. Here are some glimpses of my very okay-types-birthday.  Coffee. A venti, because birthday.  This was a White Mocha Frappuccino.  It was good.  Birthday in my planner.  Pages in my current...

Vignettes: Days of November. {Books, Writing, Coffee, Backpacks and Mini-Review.}

 Hello Loves!  How is November treating you so far?  My days are a blur of writing, NaNoWriMo are going well. I have written some 20 pages of my novel so far and mapped out some important plot points. It's going good.  Reading has been decidedly slow. Like I knew it would be. No complaints there. I am more than happy to focus on my book and not on reading.  Other than that, it's been bleak, my building is doing some very noisy repairs and it's hell. I just can't with the dust and the noise and everything else that comes with construction. I am seriously considering running away. for real, just pack my bags and run away somewhere.  UGH.  Working on my book.  This brings me so much joy.  I try to write everyday but I don't force myself.  I take days off when I feel like it.  Then I write like a maniac on other days.  Basically, I do what works for me.  A sun-kissed bag and brooch moment.  The bag is from this shop calle...

My Year in Books 2020 + My Top 20 Books of 2020.

Hello Loves!  Here we are at the very end of 2020 and I think most of us are happy to see the end of this year. It's  been one hell of a ride hasn't it? Yet, here we are.  We survived what this year threw at us. If a year ago someone told me that come March the whole world would be forced indoors and sanitisers would be our new best friend and I'd buy so many masks, I'd ask you what you had been smoking?!  Yet we were thrown a curve ball and we survived.  It sucked.  We complained.  Worried.  Cried.  Found comfort in food and books and sleep and TV shows.  MY YEAR IN BOOKS  When it came to books I had a mixed bag of a year.  I honestly thought I'd read so much more, since we were going to be home but the stress and anxiety about this pandemic made reading harder on some days and overall I think read quite less this year.  But honestly I am not going to be hard on myself for my not-so-stellar reading.   It was goo...

Sunday Special: Self-Published My FIRST Short Story- The Stranger in the Hotel Room

  Hello, hello!  I did a brave (for a shy writer like me) little thing earlier today!  I self-published a short story on Amazon via Kindle's Direct Publishing service.  For the past 8 weeks or so, I have been sharing real-life ghost stories via a series on my Instagram Stories called 'Scary Stories'. These are stories of real-life paranormal experiences and have been pretty well-received by my community on Instagram. This has given me a much-needed boost of confidence and so, I decided to flesh out the next story in my series and share it via Amazon.  Here is the link to my little book . I've priced it at INR 50, so that everybody, who wants to read it can!  If you'd like to read my short story, click on the link above and you can read it on your Kindle or the iOS or Android Kindle app.  Thank you, as ever, for reading my blog, sharing your kind words on Instagram and for just being all-round lovely people!
