 Hello Loves! December is Decembering away beautifully.  Here are some delights from December so far...  My adorable new light makes me soooo happy. I've wanted him for so long and his little face makes me so happy.  I've called him Sebastian.  Season's first gajar ka halwa.  Re-reading an old favourite.  My 2025 planner lineup.  Coffee in my alphabet mug.  He's the cutest. 

 Happy Choti Diwali 🪔  I hope your day included lots of light, love and mithai 💛  Here's what my day looked like:  I miss the Diwali of my childhood.  But now is good too. One just has to find the magic and joy for themselves.  I love how Mumbai twinkles and shines and how fairy lights and diyas illuminate every window. I hope this festive season is treating you well. 

 May has been far too hot.  So I've sought solace in Books, Coffee and binging films.  Here are some Snapshots from May. Easily my happiest corner of home.  A book filled corner. A much needed gentle reminder.  Lights.  Reading my 100th book of the year.  Hot and sunny mornings.  And oh the never ending construction and new skyscrapers popping up everywhere.  A mix of old and new books. 

Hello Loves!  How is mid-January treating you?  The air here in Mumbai is ever so slightly better. The nights are finally cooler and by that I mean my AC is finally off.  I am reading some amazing books.  Just finished reading The Memoirs of Valmiki Rao by Lindsay Pereira and I loved it.  Am also reading a very cozy Japanese book right now- What You are Looking For is in the Library. I am 45% in and can't wait to go back to it.  Here are some glimpses of what life has looked like lately..   Life Lately~~~ Rejigging my Book Cart, still needs a major overhaul and I am actively thinking about lining up my 24 reads for 2024 and using my pink Raskog to hold them.  A pink pouch to hold some of my annotating supplies.  A cute little bookmark.  Light.  And my planner that is still bringing me a lot of joy.

There was plum cake, guava cheese and chakli and other Goan snacks.  I watched an Agatha Christie Christmas mystery- Poirot's Christmas.  I ate some sweet strawberries dipped in Nutella.  I read a tiny amount.  I opened presents.  So grateful for today.  🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄 It was just what I wanted.  Hope your Christmas has been Merry too.  :)  Sending you cheer from my corner of the world to yours.  Merry Christmas! 

 Hello Loves!  Today started not good.  I was alll up in my feelings and feeling like shit.  So I took a nap and woke up feeling motivated to do something good. I cooked myself a comfort meal, a Bengali meal. Made some simple mooshurir dal and shade aloor torkari.  And we finally put up our tree.  🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄 Here are some glimpses of the sweet things from today.  This year I decided I wanted some bows on my tree.  I can't find my favourite Christmas ornaments, which I last saw in 2019 January. I am so heartbroken but what can you do?? I've just misplaced them.  So I wanted to add something new to my little tree.  My sister made these bows for me, we had a whole roll of silver glitter ribbons from Staples in Bangalore, that I bought back in 2010 or something.  Old baubles.  So much light.  The rooms looks and feels so warm and lovely instantly.  Snowflakes.  I love having the tree up and lit and done and it make...

  And just like that, six months of the year are done and dusted and we step into the second half of the year, which is my favourite half of the year. The festivals, the seasons changing and general air of joy.  I hope this half of the year and kind and bright and full of light and joy for all of us.  :)  I am hoping July is full of rains and books and goodness of all kinds.  I've been making the most of these gorgeous rainy days, drinking chai, reading books and watching some scary movies.  Here is what July has looked like.. Coffee in a pink daisy mug.  I got a little teapot of my dreams, it's tiny and holds around two cups of chai.  I got it from Weaving Homes.  Set up my Planner in this gorgeous A6 sized traveler's notebook from The Black Canvas, I have moved out of my planner, for multiple reasons and am using a Atelier Norah insert.
