Friday Favourites: Embroidery + Tea + Cold Days + Bookishness.

Embroidered Things and Things made with hands and love.  Reading an old book. I am still trying to include my older books into my reading, and also the few second hand books I own.  Currently Reading The River Sutra by Gita Mehta.   Avocado Toast and Sandwich for an easy dinner.  Positive reinforcement from a bookmark, always a good thing.  A highlighter I like.  And my book wrapped in a book jacket. The jacket is from Handivity Designs.   Tea ☕ on a cold day.  So so so grateful for the weather being good here finally. More 🙏 please.

Haul: Embroidered Jewellery from Rainbow Tales.

Hello Loves!  If you know me, you know I love love love things made by hand and I have a special soft spot for embroidered things. Both my Grandmothers were skilled embroiderers, so every time I buy a piece of embroidered something, I feel like it's something my Thamma and Dida would like.  :)  We've bought from Rainbow Tales and Rhichita before, a couple of time and we love her work and her artistry.  We recently bought a few pendants and two brooches and they are so lovely.  Here's a little look.  Here are the necklaces.  This is an edit of small pieces and I love them. So much more wearable and easy to just throw on.  I love the tiny florals so much. The lavender ones might be my favourite but I do love the little bee so damn much. So cute and see how neat everything is.  These are the brooches and they are so lovely.  Florals again because clearly I can't have enough.  :)  Do go check out her shop and treat yourself ...

Monthly Favourites: March 2022.

Hello Loves!  It's the last Friday of the year and it's time to list my Monthly Favourites.  It seems like such a long month, no? March always does seem so long after the short and sweet February.  March felt long but good, it started out wonderful and cold and is ending with me sweating through my tee.  Spring has jumped straight into summer and I am not looking forward to the hot month of summer.  But let's not think about that for now, let's talk about all the things I loved in March!  1. Spring Journal: I love how my journal for this month turned out, I loved how I set it up and I have really enjoyed how writing in it. Sadly not like we had much of a spring this year. We went straight from winter  to summer. Still, I can pretend in my journal that spring is lingering on.  2. Flowers: You got to love the flowers that bloom in March. Our little garden was alive in flowers big and small.  3. Deesa Clips: We got some beautiful blooms...

Seriously go check out her shop and get something lovely to spruce up your daily looks and style.  This time around we got ourselves some hair-clips..only we don't exactly intend to use them as such. We plan on using these to hold down our journal pages while we journal. I am sure at some point I will put them in my hair and feel cute but mostly we use them as a stationery item.  Here are the beauties we got.  Oh first up a biggggg thank-you to Deepika for sending me a little belated birthday gift- this beautiful shiuli clip that I love so much. Shiulis are one of my favourite flowers and I am so happy to have one in this form in my life.  A marigold aka a humble but lovely genda phool .  I love how big and wholesome t...

In short- they are perfect!  A closer look at each of these beauties!  Lavender!  Forget-me-nots?
