 Hello Loves! Just like that September is nearly over!  Didn't it go by so darn fast?  I had a very good reading month 🔮I read 30 books!  Sure some of them were children's books but they totally count!  Here's my books, in no particular order.  The Shampoo Effect by Jenny Jackson: This was such a smooth read, about a young woman who spends a year on a writing fellowship in a small seaside town and that year is marked by falling in love and spending time with her new partner's close group of friends. Its about group dynamics and told from the perspectives of four women, I loved each POV and loved this book so much.  The Museum of Second Chances by Jo Leevers: A book I am currently 63% through and loving. Set in small Cornish town, its about a 61 year old museum curator who runs a maritime curiosities museum that's on the verge of being closed.  Hello Loves! Life’s been busy in the last few days, so I haven’t been reading all that much. This morning I picked up two adorable books and smiled my way through them.  Both have a common theme, they are about life lessons from our furry friends!  One from cats and the other from dogs!  🐶🐾🐈🐕🐈‍⬛🐩🐱🐾🐶 Here’s a look at some of my favourite pages from both books.  Eat. Play. Love. Life Lessons from my Dog by Emma Block: This book is pure love. Adorable, wise and so so beautiful. I read this with a big smile on my face and my heart full of joy, I gave this 5/5 stars and I highly recommend reading it. Now on to the book about cats.  This one has more sass (because cats) and is just as adorable!  Life Lessons from my Cat by Jamie Shelman: This one was sassy and funny and cute as hell. If you love cats, pick this book up, you’ll love it.

 Hello, hello, We come to you today with the very highly anticipated list of our favourite thrillers/ crime fiction books of 2024! This is what a lot of you have been waiting for, so, without any further ado, let's get into it!  The Gathering by CJ Tudor: If you are a fan of vampire fiction and enjoy thriller, then is the perfect book for you to pick up! Set in a world where vampires (called vampyrs in this book) are known to exist and, seemingly, co-exist with humans, there is a murder of a 15-year-old boy in a small town in Alaska and a cop is sent from the capital to investigate. An atmospheric, interesting and engaging thriller. Full review can be found here .  The God of the Woods by Liz Moore: One of the best books I've read this year. It is a historical crime thriller book set between 1975 and, then, the late 1980s. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it immensely and was surprised how easy it was to read and accessible the writing was. Also watched two film adaptations. One made in 1992 by Fransis Ford Coppola (which was so campy and weird). The other produced by Wes Craven (who I love) which was fun but very, very not true to text.
