Hello!  If you didn't know this before, let me tell you now- I am a complete bag lady.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE bags and therefore couldn't think of the year ending without listing my favourite bags from 2018.  So here we go.. Oh these are both my sister and my favourites!  1. A Simple Satchel from Jaipur Bought this beauty from a shop opposite Hawa Mahal. So simple, clean and utterly gorgeous. I wanted a bag like this for absolute ages. 2. Grey Ikat Circle Bag from Wear Your Style This tiny bag was a constant companion during my travels to the hometown. She was perfect to hold my essentials for outings and since she's crossbody, it meant I had my hands free. So gorgeous. I love ikat and bags made out of ikat are some of my favourites. Hello!  Today's post is a happy one.  Is there anything better than hanging out in a bookshop.  :) I think not.  A nice quiet bookshop, rows and rows of books and leaving with a handful of books.  My recipe for a perfect day.  These pictures were taken at Wayword and Wise by my sister a few months ago. Hello!!!  For today's Blogmas post I want to share a very simple and spontaneous DIY that my sister I undertook this evening.  This simple, very vintage-looking bag has been sitting in my closet for over 4 years now. My sister picked it up for me during a work trip to Jaipur.  I have been meaning to carry it for ages but for some reason or the other it has sat unused and unloved!  Bad form!  So, this evening I dug it out from the depths of my closet. The hardware on the bag had a fair amount of rust on it which I had to clean away. Actually, my sister managed to clean it off with some coconut oil and cotton. It is now slightly stained but infinitely better!  I then thought why not jazz it up a little? Like slightly...with some vintage vibes patches. We received our Planner Society Kit for November in the mail today and it came with a gorgeous floral patch. That got me inspired and I went and dug out some older patches I had on hand....

Hello!  How is this Friday treating you?  Today I want to share a little haul + review of a darling little bag.  Another satchel style bag to make my satchel loving heart very happy!  Even though backpacks have been my go to bag all of 2017, I am a total satchel girl and have loved satchels for a long, long time.  So when I saw Scottie I couldn't resist it.  My sister found Chiaroscuro on Instagram and we've been loving their bags for a while. This is in fact the third bag we've gotten from them.  They make handmade, high-quality leather handbags. Hello!  A very Subho Mahalaya to my fellow Bengali readers.  Today marks the beginning of Debi Pokkho and the beginning of the Durga Pujo.  Ah!  How I wish I were in Calcutta or at least in West Bengal today, where the festivity is at a whole other level.  From one happy thing to another..my favourite bookshop- Kitab Khana.  I recently spend sometime here and came back with some books (haul coming super soon) but for now some sneak peaks at the books I got home and some others I considered getting but restrained myself!  Let's hop straight into one of my favourite places in Bombay.  Such gorgeous little books!  I fell pretty hard for the covers!  But I resisted.  So pretty though!  This collection of short stories sounded really interesting too.  My sister's gorgeous tote bag and a stack of books under consideration.  Shopping done it was time to grab a...

A new pencil case from La Dolce Vita. I love the illustration on this and a girl writing in a journal is so totally my aesthetic. My sister is using this pencil case to store all of her most used pens, which in her case are all of her ink pens from Lamy and Kaweko.  A beautiful tote that my sister is currently using. It has the most gorgeous block print on it. Dabru prints..if I am not wrong. We got it from Farida Gupta and we are so in love. It's perfectly roomy and even fits a 13 inch laptop. A perfect day bag and just look so freaking pretty!  Some glimpses of my little jhola. I got this from People Tree a few years ago. But I hadn't used it since getting it. I carried it last month and I loved it. It is beautifully made and even has very soft fabric on the inside. And had wonderful deep pockets too. Hello!  And Happy Blogmas Day 3 to you and me.  Today was a strange day. It was good for most part.  I finished a book in one sitting-- The Daughters of Jorasanko by Aruna Chakravarti and loved it.  Review for it and it's first book to come soon.  Then I had a pretty restful Saturday. Drinking Tea.  Eating Pizza. And being super chill. In the evening one of my neighbours passed away.  He was over 80 and very frail. So he has lived a very full life yet it stings a bit.  He was a funny old man. Weird and strict. But had such green thumbs and he helped keeping the gardens in my building in ship shape. He was also very helpful and went out of his way to help out anyone in our building who needed help. Neighbours, especially in big cities aren't often made of this mettle.  Rest in Peace Uncle J.
