 Happy Ray Day to everyone who celebrates.  Satyajit Ray is hands down my favourite Filmmaker, Writer and Bengali 😎 There will never be another quite like him.  So every year on his birth anniversary I re-read some of his stories and re-watch some of his incredible films.

 Hello Loves!  Hope you've had a good Sunday.  Mine included loads of sleep and a spot of reading and a few films.  So basically it was pretty good.  Below are few of my favourite things..  A Ray inspired bookmark from Studio Joyeeta.  A tiny painting, another bookmark from an IG shop that's now closed.  A love letter to self from Surreal Studio. I love this so much.  An embroidered bag from Hem Suta.  A delectable avocado toast. 🥑 Coffee under a lamp.  & A sticker with the right message~ Chill Out.  Starting tomorrow it's all sorts of yearly faves. Need to brainstorm and pour over my bookish notes and lists.  Busy week ahead.  Have a good one folks 🎀

 Hello Loves!  Hope this Friday is treating you well.  :)  It's a rainy one in my corner of the world.  For this week's Friday Faves, I want to share a small but beautiful haul from a small shop. One that I came across on IG and bought from back in April I think. The shop is called Kuuuusum and it's owner makes some truly lovely thing.  I love the things we got from the shop and I am so in love with the gorgeous painted creations.  We got three things in total.  Two pouches, that are quite large and roomy.  And one circle sling.  Here is everything.  This Maa Lokhi Sling was love at first sight.  Look at how utterly stunning this is.  I can't wait to carry this out, might just save it for Pujo.  :)  So so so pretty.  The painting is flawless.  The bag itself is fairly roomy.  If you know us, you know how much we love pouches and can't pass up a beautiful pouch.  This one we loved and my siste...

 Hello Loves!  Time to share a little haul from recent times.  I love all things handmade and painted and things that are unique.  I came across Ayenaa on IG a while back I had to get myself some of her beautiful creations.  We, sister and I, picked two totes. One pouch and one sling bag.  Here is what we got.  This is the pouch. Look at the beautiful art and look at those colours.  This is the tote.  Look how gorgeous.  I love the woman and the bird. This one my sister picked out, she loves birds and we love the old fashioned Bengali vibe of this one.  I also got myself this circle sling bag. The oodles of yellow and the this portrait really called out to me.  The bag itself is quite roomy and wonderful and even though it's small, it will fit all of my essentials. I also like that the strap is cotton and not leather or PVC, it goes well with the vibe of the bag.  And finally I got this beautiful owl bag for myself. I LOV...

 Hello Loves!  Happy Navratri.  May this festive season be good for you and yours.  This year I have done a little Pujo prep and shopping. It feels good after taking last year off from any kind of Pujo indulgence in 2020.  I have clothes, bags and a fair amount of jewellery lined up.  Let's start with jewellery first.  I got some beautiful hand-painted necklaces from Salankaraa. That are perfect for Pujo.  Salankaraa has been a happy discovery I've made this year and I've made quite a few purchases from her this year and loved all of it.  This one give me a Mexican and Bengali mix vibe.  Love the colours on this one and I think this will go so well with a bunch of outfits.  A classic motif and imagery.  Perfect for Pujo.  :)  Also love the joba phool detail.  Mother and Child.  Maa Durga and Ganpu.  The cutest!  REVIEW:  1. Hello Loves!  I feel like being at home for over a year has made all of us into Plant Ladies. I know so many people have turned to plants and caring for plants for comfort and a sense of belonging.  Plant Lady is the new Cat Lady! And that is not a bad thing at all.  I don't know if I have a green thumb or not, but I do come from a long time plant loving souls.  My Mother loves her plants.  As does Baba, who is a natural with plants. A happy perk of growing up on a farm.  I do like plants.  But I LOVE flowers.  Someday, when I live in a house with a balcony again, I can't wait to have a thriving plant family.  For now I get my plant fix from my parent's plant babies.  And some plant art.  :)  Like these bookmarks!    These beauties from Painted Petunias were love at first sight.  I love her art and this was our second purchase from her.  Sonali makes some beautiful art and I am glad I own some of her creati...

Hello Loves!  Time for another Stationery Sunday and another set of beautiful bookmarks to share with you guys.  I bought these beautiful bookmarks from Srinanda of Glee Art as part of her Covid Fundraiser.  We got these unique painted bookmarks to support a good cause and get something lovely.  The Starry Nights one especially had our hearts.    Love the loose watercolour effects in this bookmark. Something very dreamy about it!  This Hobbit House is so cute!!! Such a dreamy little picture.  Starry Night but in monochrome with a touch of gold. So lovely!  Aren't these bookmarks so lovely?!  We feel so fortunate to be able to support artists like Srinanda who donated all the proceeds from the sale of these bookmarks to charities working to help families impacted by the pandemic.  Hope you have a great week ahead! 

Hello Loves!  My love for all things handmade and handcrafted is a constant thing in my life.  I love all things made by hand and when I saw Noor Art and Craft on IG, I really liked their art and wanted to get a few things from them.  I got three bookmarks and four hand-painted pouches.    The bookmarks are all Ray themed.  Based on some of his brilliant films.  This one is from Pather Panchali and says Apur Panchali.  This one is from Charulata and has the iconic image from the film.  I love the colours on this one.  This one is from Debi.  I love the added gold touches to this one.  Now for the pouches.  My sister and I love pouches. Frankly we use a lot of them too. From holding our stationery supplies, pens and even some jewellery and keeping our handbags organised.
