Book Haul: Books+ Magazine from Crossword.

Hello!  A very delayed book haul for you today.  I got these two books while browsing at Crossword and even picked up a fashion magazine which I so rarely do these days.  I've read and reviewed both of these books!  Books Bought:  It  Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover  The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad by Twinkle Khanna  & The November Issue of Grazia Magazine  :)

Travel Diary: Landour, Mussoorie; Day 2.

Hello! Day 2 was a chilled out one. My sister had some work to do and left soon after breakfast for the rest of the working day.  I spend my morning sipping coffee and taking in the beauty all around me. It was the most chilled out day of our holiday, for me.  I read a little bit. Sat in the swing. Took a ton of pictures of flowers. Took a long, leisurely bath. Got ready. Took a stroll. Chilled in the room. Ordered room service. Had tea. And soon my sister was back in the hotel. In the evening we hung out with some of her colleagues and had some delicious Indian food for dinner.  A slow but perfect day!  Here are some pictures from my second day in Landour.  Golden hour.  Views from breakfast! I wish I could share the sound of this morning. The birdsong, the chirping of crickets. It was magical.  Breakfast- this marmalade was delicious! And I want that Danish right about now!  Mo...

Book Haul/// Books of February 2016, Part- I, Kitab Khana Books+ Magazines & Notebook!

Hello!  And it's time for my favourite sort of post to do, a book haul!  This being my birthday month I am all about buying books and buying them guiltlessly.  :)  I went to Kitab Khana last week and honestly bought books I have wanted for a long time and I just picked them up. This is my bookish resolution for this year is to buy books I want to read and not just go for cheap/affordable books. So even if a book is slightly pricey I am going to get it if I really want it.  :)  Let's look at the books I got and the two fashion magazines, I used to be a big fashion magazine addict but only read them sporadically now. I also got my sister this absolutely stunning A6 notebook set from  the Victoria and Albert Museum Shop that Kitab Khana stocks near their till.  :)  Books Bought.. The Reader- Bernhard Schlink A Meditation of Murder- Robert Thorogood Cutting for Stone- Abraham Verghe...

Project 365 2016: Week 1.

Hello!  This is my second attempt to document my year in photos. I tried and got to week 32 last year and then tragedy struck...digital tragedy. My laptop crashed and I lost of 6 months worth of pictures and was left heartbroken and lost my photo sharing/documenting mojo.  But it made me very sad to have abandoned a project I cared about so much.  I knew I wanted to try again this year and I complete it.  I love a couple of things about this project with a very simple premise, a picture a day to document your day and have a picture for every day of the whole year.  I love that I get to use my camera more often. Document things big and small.  Have my whole year documented in picture form.  So with good vibes and high hopes I want to start my Project 365...or should it be Project 366 since this is a leap year.  Let's see my First Week of 2016.  Day 1 of 366: I spent a large and happy portion of my day se...

Book Haul: Books from Om Books + Vogue. Books of October 2015 Part- II.

Hello!  A mini-bookhaul today.  I spend sometime in Om Books Store a few days ago and came back with these two books. Both publications from Om Books. I have wanted to read some Kamala Das for ages and when I saw this collection of short stories I had to pick it up. And the other book- Emotional Hostage- sounded interesting and I read the first few pages and liked the writing so decided to pick it up :)  I also picked up the 8th Anniversary Edition of Vogue India...sometimes I like browsing through fashion magazines and this big, hefty issue seemed like a good deal.  Let's look at the books now... I have more new books to haul...some I picked up during Pujo. Will haul them on the blog soon!  Happy Reading guys :)

Book Haul/// Books from Kitab Khana.

Hello!  It's been a few days since I last blogged. A unintended little break. I was busy with other things and though my flu is long gone, it has in it's wake left me feeling a little too weak.  But in order to jump right back into blogging, I bring you some delightful books I picked up from Kitab Khana a few weeks back. I love Kitab Khana, it's my favourite bookshop in Bombay and I absolutely recommend that you take an hour or so and spend some quality time amidst the bookshelves there. They have a wonderful collection of books and I always come back with some treasures.  Here is what I got this time around.. Books Bought:  The Rosie Effect by Graeme Simsion  Ripper by Isabel Allende  The Good Luck of Right Now by Matthew Quick  The Museum of Extraordinary Things by Alice Hoffman  The Passion by Jeanette Winterson  Miss Vogue India May 2015  I am kicked about all of t...
