 Hello!  After months of not buying books, I allowed myself a little treat of sorts in August.  I bought 6 books and was sent one by publishers. So a book haul after months had to be shared.  I already shared my Harry Potter haul a few posts back, so I won't share those again. These are the other books I picked up and I have read all of these books already.  Yay! Love it when that happens.  Buy books. Read books.  First up, I finally got my hands on this gorgeous children's book that I've had my eye on since it first came out. So pretty and DOGS! It's about a little puppy and Sudha Murty's trademark smooth writing.  A delight!  This beautiful book was sent to me by the kind folks over at Harper Collins, thank you muchly! I read Bhaunri by the same author last year and loved it and knew I wanted to read more from her. I already own Daura, which I hope to read soon.  I've already read and Loved this book. Hello!  Time to share another bunch of books I've added to my shelves lately.  September has been a slow-ish reading month for me. I have been reading slower or more intently if you will all of this month. My book buying has also been slower and more restrained, which I can assure you is a good thing be.  I got these books from Amazon in the first week of the month and I have added more books in the weeks that followed, I will be sharing them soon.  Let's see what I've added to my shelves lately.. I can't remember the last time I bought a Penguin English Library book. I love these editions like mad and own over 30 books from this line of gorgeous classics. But it had been a hot minute since I had added a new books from the line. I saw this book a couple of weeks ago on Instagram and I knew it was time to get another gorgeous book. The yellow flowers were just too pretty to pass up and a novella is something I could read more of.  ...

If you haven't read any Agatha Christie book before....STOP RIGHT NOW! Go pick up a book by her this very second.  I love/adore her work and her books are comforting and soothing reads for me. I pick up a Christie book when I feel like reading nothing else.  If you've never read a Christie book before I'd suggest start with a non- Marple and non-Poirot book...just so you can sample her writing without having to get to know her very famous characters. If you want Poirot and Marple, start with the first in the series if you can help it. If not, honestly, you can start with any book. You don't need to read these books in order.  My favourite Poirot book is probably...Death on the Nile, Sad Cypress, Five Little Pigs, Murder on the Orient Express, Dumb Witness,,,I'd recommend any of these.  Miss Marple favourites include..Body in the Library, Mirror Cracked from Side to Side, A Murder is announced and Nemesis.  I love Agatha Chri...

Up until this year, I had read only one book by Agatha Christie- Then There Were None. I love her though...I have seen all the ITV episodes of both Poirot and Miss Marple, I cannot recommend these TV shows enough. They are very true to text and don't really deviate from  the stories in the books. Especially the Poirot ones are pretty much the books come alive. You can watch all the Miss Marple episodes HERE . Yes, you can thank me later... preferably with chocolates or something! ;) So, anyway, since I had watched all these episodes, I thought why read the books? Especially since these are detective stories and if you know who the killer is why read the books? Well, that doesn't apply to these books. As great as the TV series is, and it is BRILLIANT, the books still deserved to be read and I am so glad I am finally getting to them. I am choosing books whose stories I like best and some of them that weren't made into episodes as well as the stand alone books. The Agatha...
