Dear Diary: 7.1.25

 Dear Diary,  Today was a good day.  I took down my Christmas Tree and even packed it away in the loft. Always a bittersweet feeling. Tidied up the flat and even sorted through and moved my coffee mugs around.  Had a cup of delicious cardamom tea, the weather has cooled down and it was a perfect morning to enjoy some chai.  Watched an amazing Bengali film called Habji Gabji on Hoichoi which shows the perils of video game addiction and how harmful it can be for young kids.  Also re-watched Godzilla Minus 1 and loved it.  Read a little and had a very chill day.  So grateful 🧿 for these mellow days of early January.  Here's what today looked like..

Saturday Shenanigans- A Day in My Life.

 Hello Loves!  Here's what my day looked like today.  Set up my June Journal.  Decorated.  Wrote.  Set some Goals.  A pen stand and some owls.  Summer Bloom.  Gratitude Journal, June Week I.  I don't really decorate my Gratitude Journal very much, I like to keep it clean and uncluttered.  The moon tonight is a thing of beauty.  I honestly was staring it for so long. It looked comically large. Like a big old dollop of ice-cream.  :)  How was your Saturday?  Mine was spent journaling and mainly setting up my new Journal for June. I finally got around to using my Traveler's Notebook Passport sized journal. Most of my morning was spent listening to music and decorating my inserts and writing some feelings away. The train accident in Odisha is breaking my heart and I cannot imagine the horror and pain and fear those passengers must be going through.  :(  I used to take long train journeys every single year w...

Things I Love & Am Grateful For. {Blogmas Day- 23.}

 Today we just talk about the things that make me happy and things I am immensely grateful for.  Going out, especially with people I like. Dressing up. Bookshop hangs.  And cute little backpacks.  All good things.  Home and it's many comforts, mostly my books and spots to curl up and read in.  My planners and journals.  A place to put my thoughts away.  Festive vibes.  And Christmassy mugs.  Little joys often bring the biggest smiles.  The others things I am super grateful for////  Kind People.  Family. A spot of gossip.  Laughs.  Art.  Light.  Non-anxious days.  Fun dreams.  Day dreaming.  Music, especially older music, the kind I have million memories attached to.  Alone time.  New notebooks.  Ink Pens.  Cake.  Sleeping well.  ~~~~

Stationery Sunday: Gratitude Journal 2022. (Set-Up).

 A grateful heart is a magnet for miracles.  I am a big believer in counting my blessings. In trying to find something good in every single day. It doesn't have to be something big or significant, even a small thing is enough to shift focus away from something less than perfect and instead focusing on things that make life good.  I have had a Gratitude Journal in some shape or form since 2015 or so.  This year my Gratitude Journal is much more loose form and more like a Bujo set-up. A place where I get to keep track of things I am grateful for everyday and even making a place to keep super aesthetic and do a spot of art journaling.  So a place for gratitude and creativity.  This is my Gratitude Journal for this year and some of the first few weeks in it. My Journal took it's own sweet time arriving and I got it only on the 16th of January, so I filled it up more as a throwback!  Before the ink...because some things I want to keep private.  This is...

Hello June 2021 + Blog Birthday!

  Hello June!  Hello Rains!  Hello Blog Birthday!  My Blog turns 8 this year.  8!  I am rather surprised that I have managed to keep with this blog and shared my love for books, bookish things, art and small businesses I love and some glimpses of my lifestyle.  I have loved every minute of it.  Thank-you for coming along for the ride.  June also marks the anniversary of my sister joining the Corporate World many moons ago. So we had two things to celebrate today.  And we got a dark chocolate cake to celebrate.  :)  Something sweet to celebrate these joys.  I also cooked dinner for the family. Dal fry and chilli paneer and rice.  Simple but delicious.  Today I am feeling particularly grateful for all the blessings in this little life of mine.  Books.  Bags.  Flowers.  Rains.  Life may not be perfect but is it is full of blessings that I am grateful for.  I started my reading month wit...

Monday Moods: Gratitude Journal.

“Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.” Voltaire  Starting everyday and every week with a heart full of gratitude.  Writing in my gratitude journal always makes me feel good about life, no matter how the current situation in life is.  “When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself.” Tecumsah    These are the pages of my gratitude journal from last week.  I don't always decorate my Gratitude Journal.  I like to keep it simple and leave ample space for writing about things big and small that I am grateful for.  This week I used little stickers from Stickii Club Kits.  Some happy, lazy and joyful frogs going about the lives.  And some bunnies for Easter.  :)

Planner 2021: Gratitude Journal.

  Hello Loves!  I am kicking off my Planner Series for 2021.  I am starting with my Gratitude Journal. I have Gratitude Journaled for the last few years, sometimes in a whole other journal and sometimes I have made little notes in my regular planner. Personally, I like having a little separate space to make this daily gratitude entries in. It's a good way to end my night writing about the one thing (or many things) in the day that filled me with gratitude.  My journal this year is from The June Shop and I love it's very pink and floral design. It sort of matches my main planner from The Ink Bucket. So it feels like a set.  This is how I have decorated the front page.  All things I love in life///  Flowers.  A bus...to denote a roadtrip.  Sloths.  Writing.  Mountains.  & Dogs.  I also love this dinosaur sticky note that I also got from The June Shop.  The page layout is a little something like this. I find this muc...

Monday Moods: Things I am Grateful For in November 2020.

Hello Loves!   November is coming to an end and the last month of the year is here.  What a year huh?  And it's almost over.  And not a moment too soon.  While it's easy, more than easy to shit on this year, I think it's important to focus on the things we have to be grateful for.  I try to focus on the silver linings, it's not easy, but it's something I try very hard to focus on.  These are somethings I am very Grateful for:  1. Books. 2. Stories.  3. Writing.  4. My health. 5. My family being safe.  6. My hoarding habits: clothes, stationery and everything else that I hold on to and that has meant that I don't have to buy anything unnecessary this year or the next. I am pretty sorted.  7. Being able to cook my meals.  8. Films.  9. OTT platforms.  10. Comfort found in food, sweets and naps.  Always grateful for lights.  Loved that this year Diwali was all old-school and full of diyas.  Grate...
