 Hello Loves!  My reading habits have changed quite a bit.  I used to be a book monogamist, I only ever read one book at a time and couldn't imagine reading any other way. I saw other folks read a huge stack at books in one go and wondered how they did it.. Cut to now and my monogamous nature..when it comes to books have changed quite a bit.  Now I read a couple of books at a time.  I am currently reading three books this week.  I have my morning read: my daytime read if you will.  I am reading: Snow Falling on Cedars by David Guterson, which is literary whodunnit set in 1954.  The book's written in 1995 and something about a book written in the 90s is just hitting the spot.  It took me sometime to get into this book but I'm currently a 100 pages in and really enjoying it.  This is my evening read: Elizabeth and her German Garden by Elizabeth Von Arnim.  A classic about a woman's love for nature and her garden and books and thriving...

Parineeta by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay: This one is a family favourite. This was my Thamma's favourite story in the whole wide world. Because this story was sorta like her love story with my grandfather. She found a lot of similarities between her love story and that of Lalita and Shekhar.  Hello Loves!  Today was a good day.  Started a new book and read more than half of it and I am really enjoying myself.  Put some soft red velvet bows on my Kindle and my sister's as well. Just festive cheery vibes all around.  Here's what today looked like:  Mother India by Prayaag Akbar is a novella about two young Indians, a man and a woman who live and work in Delhi.  It's a story set firmly in India today, the plague of social media echo chambers and how the powerful and corrosive these carefully worded and manipulated videos/words and content can be.  I  am half way through and really enjoying and appreciating this book.  A cheerful bookmark to keep me company in an often melancholic book.  I read and absolutely loved Leila by the same author and I knew I would enjoy this one as well.  Now for some cutesy things:  We recently got a roll of red velvet ribbon and I wanted to add some festive cheer to my Kindle cover....

 Hello Loves!  I recently picked up my old digicam and have been clicking pictures on it. It's over 12 years old and on it's last legs.  But she's small and fits in the palm of my hand and I love her and all the adventures and memories that she reminds me of always makes me smile.  Here are some snapshots I've captured using her.  A favourite page from my journal.  Reading has been kinda off lately.  I am not exactly in a reading slump, but nothing I've read in a long time that made me all kinds of happy. Plus, I think I've been watching more things than reading and I really want to change that and get back to my reading like a maniac avatar.  This weekend I am reading something really good that I am excited about.  This Motherless Land by Nikki May: A story of two cousins and several family secrets and drama. Set in Nigeria and UK in the 80s, I am 25% in so far and really loving it.  Our two main characters, Funke and Liv are both extremely likable and real.  I am so happy to spend my weekend reading this book. And spending some time in the 80s.  A little friend keeping me company as I read in bed. 

 Snippets from my day today… Aren’t long weekends just the best?  Hope you’re having the best long weekend ever.  Tea & Coffee Moments, I have become quite smitten with green tea lately. Coffee is still my first love but a nightly green tea hits the spot. Cute corners of home. This old timey telephone is an old perfume bottle we’ve had since before I was born. It’s too cute to part with.  Last few days with Ganpu ✨🪔✨ My current read. I didn’t read enough over the weekend. Still reading this and it’s quite nice.  The rains have run off and I just can’t with this heat.  Hope this week brings rain.
