Saturday 22.2.25 📖💌✨đŸĒģ

I love Saturdays.  Spent my day reading, resting and feeling good. But also hot because winter has left Mumbai and it’s hot as can be already 😭 I am not looking forward to summer at all. Ugh.  But I am grateful that this year winter (our version) of winter lingered on for as long as it did.

26.1.25 A Sunday in my Life.

Hello Loves! Happy Republic Day to you. Today was also my parent’s wedding anniversary. So we quietly celebrated at home away from my parents. Here’s what today looked like:  Pulled out some classics from my shelves that I am hoping to read this year. Sunshine and a breakfast sandwich.  New flower claw clip that arrived today from Meesho. Still making my way through this book and I am hoping to finish it soon. Moon Light 🌝

Hello Loves!  Hope you're having a good first weekend of the year.  I read a little, rested up and watched some old Feluda films. Started a new book and even brought out my special markers to highlight. 📖 All good things.

Blogmas Day-14! Tiny Journals for 2025.

Image
Hello Loves!  I spent my morning with my Journal & Planner lineup for 2025.  There is nothing quite like having Planner Peace.  Here is a look at some tinnnyyyy journals I have lined up for the first quarter of 2025.  A classic Field Notes Memo Book for my Blog Planner.  I will be setting it up and sharing what it looks like with you soon.  A tiny Pocket Notes notebook from Piko store as my Film and Shows journal.  I love how tiny and petite my line up is looking . A tiny notepad from La Dolce Vita to use in my planner.  A linen covered journal from a brand called Kitabby (found on Amazon) that’s going to be my Reading Journal.  Sitting cozy in a little crochet bag, that is a new addition to my life too.

Weekend Watchlist: True Crime, Rom-Com, Horror Recommendations

Image
Hello, hello, Another weekend and another 'what to watch' post on this blog :)  Today's recommendations are a nice mixed bag of true crime, horror and romance! So, let's get into it, shall we?  Nobody Wants This is a rom-com that is an instant throwback to the mid-2000s! Not only because it stars millennial heartthrobs Adam Brody and Kristen Bell but also it is, basically, a classic rom-com. Has several laugh out loud moments and all the formulaic, trope-heavy things that defined the rom-coms in the early to mid-2000s.  Messed up, commitment-averse heroine- check.  Stable, nice-boy hero- check.  He falls first- check.  She falls harder- check.   And, like I said, lots of LOL-worthy moments, mostly stemming from the hero's extremely Jewish family and the heroine's messy-chaotic family.  This is not a perfect show but it is one of the better rom-coms one has seen in a while. Plus it has six very short episodes which I like. I am so over 50 minute lo...

5 True Crime Documentaries to Watch this Weekend

Image
Hello, hello, After absolutely ages, we are back with a 'What to Watch' recommendation post! Today we are recommending 5 True Crime Documentaries that we recently watched and loved!  Let's get into it, shall we?  1. Into the Fire: The Lost Daughter tells the heartbreaking story of birth mom- Kathy Terkanian- who had given up her nine-month-old daughter for adoption in 1975. She had heard nothing of or from her child (since it was a closed adoption) until 2010, when the adoption agency wrote to her asking for a DNA sample to match a set of female remains found in Wisconsin. It was then that Kathy, who even after receiving the letter had not learnt her child's name, learnt that her daughter has been missing since 1989! The two-episode documentary follows her tenacious search into the whereabouts of her daughter and the shocking revelations that unearth more unsolved crimes!  Very, very good! Absolute must-watch! Streaming on Netflix. 2. Worst Ex Ever: Who hasn't had ...

Hello September 2024!

Image
Hello September đŸĒ”đŸ¤ŽđŸ„đŸŒŋ🎀🌧💐đŸĒ” Here's hoping you are kind, gentle and perfect and soothing.  Here's what the first day of September looked like...  Tidied up my corner in the living room.  Moved around my books.  Set up my planner and journal.  Changed up some decor.  Rested.  Ate some yum snacks.  Made a sorta TBR.  Spoke to Maa for a long time.  Felt happy in my little life.   I hope the rest of September is just as good.

Weekend Files: Skies and Books and Coffee.

Image
Hello Loves!  I hate that I've majorly slacked off on blogging this month. I don't even know what happened. I fell sick in the beginning of the month and then June just brought a ton of stress and worries and anxiety and I decided to loose myself in books and films and just hide from the world.  For most part it worked.  I hid, read and slept and tried to feel better.  I am hoping July and the second half of the year is loads better.  Moving on, here is what my weekend has looked like so far...  Books, my current read that I am so close to finishing up.  Reading moments. There is nothing better than reading in bed.  Coffee.  Rain kissed flowers.  The plan and hope for rest of the weekend is to just get cozy, watch some spooky films and eat some good food.  Hope this weekend is treating you well.  I love months that end with a weekend.

Sunday Diary// Book & Film Recommendation.

What Today Looked Like:  Started a new book. Mayadevi's London Yatra by Bulbul Sharma is a charming, slice of life and bittersweet stories about regular people and ordinary lives. I am a couple of stories in and really enjoying this book.  Still reeling from a fever, so most of today was spent sleeping off and sweating off this flu. Ugh. I feel so out of it and weak.  Coffee in a tiny but happy mug. It's from Chumbak.  Finally watched Godzilla Minus One and absolutely loved it. It's streaming on Netflix and you have to watch it. I love all things Godzilla but these new one (the American films) and the whole Godzilla is our friend..is a bit odd. I am much more inclined to think of him as a super villian. This Japanese film has some seriously good visual effects (it won the Oscar) but it has an incredible story and a whole bunch of amazing characters you grow to care about. It's got thrills and a heart.
