 Hello Loves! In the honour of Halloween and all things spooky, I've read a few thrillers, Not as many as I would have liked to but I read some good ones...here is my little list.  Haunt Sweet Home is my most recent read. A home improvement haunted house reality TV show which is mostly fake till some real creepy things start happening. Fun and short and an interesting look at reality TV.  CJ Tudor is an author whose work I enjoy very much. I went into this with very high expectations.  A father and daughter inherit a dream house in an ideal township in the US, picture a Disney like vibe, if Disney made ideal townships that had a million rules. So our Brits move to this town and things are a little off. Fun enough but eventually incredibly obvious and all the reveals and twists were so easy to guess.  My first ever M.L. Rio, this little novella is about a single night and a whole lot of strangeness.  There  are creepy and gore-y things and honestly I do...

 Hello, hello, I come bearing the perfect thriller recommendations for the Spooky Season! Boo!  Without any further ado, let's get into the list (in no particular order):  1. Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak  This book is a great mix of my two favourite Spooky Season ingredients- a murder mystery and supernatural elements. A young woman, working as a nanny for a five-year-old boy, is put on the spot when the kid starts drawing strange pictures hinting at the murder of an unknown woman. He, further claims, that the woman in the pictures that he draws is with them in the house and she is the one asking him to draw these images.  A perfect blend of a murder, some historical fiction elements and, of course, some spooky supernatural stuff as well.  2. Love, Mom by Iliana Xander  A semi-epistolary style thriller wherein a young woman is sent pages from her dead mom's journal, which don't sound at all like the woman, who hated her and raised her with so much ...

 Hello Loves! Just like that September is nearly over!  Didn't it go by so darn fast?  I had a very good reading month 🔮I read 30 books!  Sure some of them were children's books but they totally count!  Here's my books, in no particular order.  The Shampoo Effect by Jenny Jackson: This was such a smooth read, about a young woman who spends a year on a writing fellowship in a small seaside town and that year is marked by falling in love and spending time with her new partner's close group of friends. Its about group dynamics and told from the perspectives of four women, I loved each POV and loved this book so much.  The Museum of Second Chances by Jo Leevers: A book I am currently 63% through and loving. Set in small Cornish town, its about a 61 year old museum curator who runs a maritime curiosities museum that's on the verge of being closed.  Hello, hello, Since it is raining summer thrillers instead of actual rain (at least where I am), I thought I'd come over and review a few thrillers that I read and enjoyed recently.  Hello my loves!  Happy Day of Love to you and yours.  Whether you love Valentine's Day or not, it's a good excuse as any to indulge in some reading and finding something that works for you.  Here are some book recommendations for Valentine's Day...Books to read if you love Love or books to read if you want a good crying session.  There's something for everyone.  1. Parineeta by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay: This one is a family favourite. This was my Thamma's favourite story in the whole wide world. Because this story was sorta like her love story with my grandfather. She found a lot of similarities between her love story and that of Lalita and Shekhar. A timeless, simple and enduring story about childhood sweethearts, misunderstandings and love.  2. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows: Juliet- a budding writer/ journalist receives a letter from a pig farmer called Dawsey from the island of Guernsey...

 Today I woke up feeling a little sick.  So I just read, lay down and felt a little better. It's this darn weather, cold one day and hot the next.  Ugh.  Here are some glimmers from my day..  Coffee. Always bringing me comfort.  &  Finishing up my current read: Thorns in the Crown by Tanushree Poddar, which I enjoyed quite a bit. It's historical fiction set in India starting off in the 1920s till the 70s. Three people from very different backgrounds and how their lives and destinies are shaped in this tumultuous time.  I am planning on eating a simple salad for dinner and watching a spooky film.  Here's hoping tomorrow is better ♥

 Hello Loves 🌷📖📝🌻📖📝🌷 Hope you’re having a lovely New Year's Eve. 🌸 Last evening of the year and time to talk about My Year in Books and list my Top 24 reads of the year.  I’ve had a very good reading year.  I read 235 Books and a majority of them were good. There were some duds; but for the most part this was a very successful reading year.  I read loads of Indian Books. Read translations. Read books from all corners of the world.  Read some new to me authors and fell in love.  Tried new genres.  Read some delightful children’s books. Read so many beautiful picture books. Read a fair amount of nonfiction.  Bought a few books but was able to very successfully do a whole book buying ban from May to November.  Annotated some books.  Read physical books.  Read a ton on my iPad. Read very little on my Kindle (she’s getting old).  Found so much comfort and solace in my books.  I am so grateful for my books and for storie...
