August Diary/// My Month in Pictures.

Hello Loves!  I have taken a bit of a break on the blog.  I didn't mean to but life and mood and mental health got in the way.  Life felt..not so great.  But there was books, shows, films, some rain and bits of festivity and small joys.  Here's what August looked like in my corner of the world.  My favourite book from the month. A story of family, displacement, history and survival. If you love family sagas, you'll adore this.  Coffee & Planner Moments kept me sane this month, as always.  Janmasthami was celebrated 🎉🎊 Books were moved around.  Shelves were organised.  Planner Pages.  Loved how my planner looked this month.  Celebrated my half-birthday, ate cake and felt happy.  Kindle in my old favourite cover.  A tin of joy.  Honestly, more books should come in tins.  Books & Bookmarks.  A cute bookmark always makes me happy.  Loved my journal this month.  Loved it soooo much.  Read soooo much on my iPad.  I love her.  August was a strange month.  Long. Occasion

Monday Moods: Life in August.

Hello Loves!  Took some time off from the blog.  Life's been a lot. The world seems to have gone to shit and I won't lie my hearts been hurting.  So I've sought refuge in books and food and, being cozy at home and trying to keep my spirits up.  Here's what my days have looked like.  Pressed flowers 🌸🌺🌻🌹🌷🌼💐  Journal spreads that makes me happy.  Organized my shelves in my iPad.  Put all my desi book in one shelf.  Comfort reads.  Cozy corners of my room.  A childhood favourite.  Current Reads. Translated from Bengali. It's quite nice so far in.

Daily Diary: 7/8/24

Dear Diary,  I woke up so early today. And started my day with some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. It was simple and yum. Picked out a new book to read but read next to nothing. Deep cleaned the house and fridge instead. And you know how happy that makes me. My inner Monica Gellar was very happy.  Watched three films, rewatched rather.  Thor Ragnarok Infinity War.  Endgame.  Laughed. Cheered. Cried.  Spoke to Dad. Checked up on Mom, who was having a good day for a change.  Read a little on my iPad and now it's time to go to bed.  A perfectly ordinary day.  But a good one.  A stack of my books and date cookies.  Messy desk scenes.  Books and Coffee.

Book Review: The God of the Woods by Liz Moore

Book: The God of the Woods  Author: Liz Moore  Pages: 478  Read on: Kindle  Read in: ~5 hours  Plot Summary:  Early morning, August 1975: a camp counselor discovers an empty bunk. Its occupant, Barbara Van Laar, has gone missing. Barbara isn’t just any thirteen-year-old: she’s the daughter of the family that owns the summer camp and employs most of the region’s residents. And this isn’t the first time a Van Laar child has disappeared. Barbara’s older brother similarly vanished fourteen years ago, never to be found. As a panicked search begins, a thrilling drama unfolds. Chasing down the layered secrets of the Van Laar family and the blue-collar community working in its shadow, Moore’s multi-threaded story invites readers into a rich and gripping dynasty of secrets and second chances. It is Liz Moore’s most ambitious and wide-reaching novel yet. Things I Liked:  1. This book is full of retro summer vibes! It is set in a summer camp in 1975 and has all of the retro fun summer things on

Stationery Sunday: August Journal.

Hello Loves 🎀 I spent my Sunday morning doing up, decorating and setting up my Journal for August.  Here's what it looks like:  Decorating my journal brings me so much joy and it almost feels like therapy to spend a hour doing this. Going through my supplies and finding the perfect bits to do up my pages.

Weekend Reads: Folklores and Stories.

Today has been a perfectly lazy and cozy Saturday.  It's been rainy and grey and I've been curled up with a book of folktales from all over India.  Flowers and Folktales.  I adore these crochet flowers.  My Moomin Bookmark keeping me company.  The Owl Delivered Good News All Night Long, Edited by Lopamudra Maitra Bajpai is the perfect book to kick start my reading for Indian Books in August.  A collection of Folktales and Legends and Myths from all over India.  My plan is to read a couple of stories every day and read this through the month.  I hope this Saturday has been relaxing for you too.

Friday Favourites: Things I Loved This Week.

A messy but happy corner of my room.  Pins. Sticky notes. iPad.  Pins on my pencil bag.  Rainy Day themed.  My gorgeous TBR for August.  So excited to read these incredible books.  Put a ton of stickers on my iPad case and I love how it turned out.  Did a little collage and put some cute girl stickers on it.  Pages in my gratitude journal. I am lowkey also using this as my daily journal and I love it.
