Friday Favourites (On a Sunday): Make-up!

Sorry, this batch of Friday Favourites is a whole 2 days too late. But I am talking about things that make me very happy- Make-up! I have always liked make-up and have over the years really gotten into make-up in a big way. Earlier my idea of a full-face of make-up was kajal, a lip-balm or lipstick and just some compact to keep my oily skin under control. Now I have a full-fledged make-up routine with foundation, concealer, compact, blush, highlighter and of course eye-shadow and mascara and lipsticks and gloss. I love how a little bit of make-up can transform your face and sometimes even your mood. For years I was a MAC loyalist and didn't buy much from the drugstore.

Last year, I delved into drug-store brands and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and the prices. Now my make-up bag holds everything from MAC- YSL-Revlon- Rimmel- Bourjois-Chambor- Clinique and then some.

These are some of things I've been loving lately.

What make-up products do you love?

I have really been enjoying Rimmel London. The products are very affordable and are a decent quality too. I love this dark eye-shadow palette and this blush trio- I like to mix all three colours together and use it.

When it comes to lipsticks nothing comes close to quality, pigmentation of MAC lipsticks. They are amazing. Go on smoothly and come is world of shades. The one above is my nude lipstick of choice- Hug Me I always have it in my bag, it's great for everyday use and goes with everything.

The ones below are some other MAC lipsticks I adore. Apart from Hug Me, the rest are berry shades and some of them, like Party Line and Captive are little darker and perfect for Fall/Winter.

Some more MAC loves- the paint pots are just my favourites this year. The one above is in Ground Work. Paint Pots are basically cream eye-shadows/ primers. I use mine in Painterly as a primer and it makes other eye-shadows pop better and stay on all day long!

I will admit rather confess that I bought this eye-shadow palette primarily because of the extremely cute packaging. But the colours are amazing too. I love a nice smokey purple eye look and these shadows work wonderfully well in creating a good smokey purple look. The pink one is  a little Barbie pink but I use them as blush and it works well as a blush.

Hope you guys had a lovely weekend.

Mine included good food. Movies. Reading. Shopping. Sleeping.
