Let's get into it, shall we?

Rabinranath Ekhane Kokhonou Khete Asheyni (REKKA) is the story of a mysterious woman, who runs a restaurant in a small town. Men have gone missing in this town and so, a cop is sent to investigate. Is she a witch? Is she a killer? Or is she just someone at the wrong place at the wrong time? An interesting series with a twist that you may or may not see coming. Streaming on Hoichoi.

Byomkesh Chorabali is a two-part telling of the famous Byomkesh story where a zamindar's daughter's maths teacher goes missing and is feared eaten by a man-eating tiger. Byomkesh investigates and unearths the truth. A good couple of episodes as always. Streaming on Hoichoi.

Damyanti is the new detective on the block. A history professor who is intrigued by human nature, Damyanti solves cases via her powers of observation and her ability to connect the dots. This case takes her to Shantiniketan where there is a conspiracy afoot to murder the heir of a large pharma company. A nicely done murder mystery. Streaming on Hoichoi.

Shey Je Holud Pakhi is a muder mystery set against the backdrop of the rock band/ music scene in Kolkata. The singer of a popular band is cleverly murdered and her death is made to seem like an accident. Only an ex-cop who is perpetually drunk believes she is murdered and sets out against all odds to find the truth. A nicely done murder mystery. Streaming on Hoichoi.

Eken Babu: Shantiniketane Sankat Mochan is the latest instalment of the very popular OTT detective- Eken Babu. He has been invited to Shantiniketan where the wealthy owner of a large property is found murdered. Eken Babu solves the crime in his trademark eccentric fashion. Streaming on Hoichoi.

Nokol Heere is a Damyanti mystery. A couple on the verge of divorce. The husband killed, apparently by the wife. A diamond. Damyanti solves this complicated mystery. Streaming on Hoichoi.

Indu starts off as the adjustment journey of a newly wed woman in her new home. However, all is not what it seems and soon the family finds out the wife of their younger son has been murdered. Indu smells a rat and starts unearthing the mysteries of her new family. An interesting crime/ drama/ mystery show streaming on Hoichoi.

Paap is a show about old sins coming to roost. Quite literally. It is Durga Pujo and the 450th one of a reputed ex-zamindar family. It is during this time that a girl who was driven out of this house around 20 years ago returns and opens up a Pandora's Box of secrets. A gripping murder mystery that is streaming on Hoichoi.

Feluda Pherot: Chinnomaster Obhishaap is a not-often told/ re-created for TV Feluda story. The patriarch of a family is murdered and there are motives galore. Enter Feluda and gang to solve the crime and bring justice. Streaming on Adda Times.

Dujone is a thriller/ spy caper that is quite interesting. When a crooked industrialist family with ties to terrorists needs to be brought down, the intelligence department sends in a lookalike, who has everyone fooled. Only the wife suspects something. A nicely made thriller that is streaming on Hoichoi.

Mohanagar is a brilliant Bangladeshi social thriller that is at once a police procedural and a searing commentary on income disparity and corruption. Do watch it! It is streaming on Hoichoi.

Money Honey is yet another Bangladeshi show about a trio of bank robbers, who plan and almost get away with a daring bank heist. Their struggles to escape the cops and some other interested, powerful parties makes this an immensely watchable show. Streaming on Hoichoi.

We hope you watch some/ all of these shows- they are subtitled in English- and enjoy them as much as we did!
