Friday Favourites: First Week of 2024- Planners, Movies, Books

 Hello, hello,

Welcome to the very first Friday of 2024!

I hope you are as excited as I am that the work week is done and a weekend (and all its myriad possibilities) spreads out ahead of us!

Sharing some of the recent things that we've been loving!

The beginning of any New Year means setting up our planners and journals. This here is my sister's Hobonichi Techo. She is back in the Hobonichi after 3 years and this cover is from The Black Canvas. The crochet pencil case is from an Instagram shop whose name I can't remember.

Are you a fan of stickers? We are. They just brighten up things like laptops and Kindle and iPad cases and can be easily removed and replaced with other stickers. This one is from the Strawbabie store. The Kindle cover is from Amazon. My sister has the slightly larger 11th Generation Paperwhite and it is so difficult to find a good cover for it.

I spent some time organising my journal/ planner supplies in my The Ink Bucket planner box. I have been enjoying using The Ink Bucket planner so far. This is a great hack to store your most in-use supplies and refresh them every month or quarter or however often you run out of supplies.

Okay, so, very late to the party, but, guys!! Have you read and watched Red, White & Royal Blue? If not, please read and then watch or watch and then read... because the book has so much more depth and soul than the movie (obviously)! I mean, the emails between Alex and Henry are just so sweet, heartwarming, fun and moving.. but in the movie, the chemistry between the leads is something else! :) So, watch and then read, maybe? That way you won't hate the movie for leaving many, many of the book's best bits out!

On the topic of movies, we started our year by re-watching some of our old favourite rom-coms. Namely, You've Got Mail, Sweet Home Alabama and Legally Blonde. So, so, good and fun! Why do we not have good rom-coms these days? Is romance truly dead? Sigh.

Anyway, have a great weekend, y'all!
