October 2026 Favourites!

 October is over.

A month of Durga Pujo and Lokkhi Pujo, the most festive month in a Bengali's year.

There was a good dose of spookiness.

&

For me it was a year since my stroke and a long year of healing since.

Honestly I was a little scared going into this month, since last October absolutely kicked my butt.

But this month has turned out rather kind.

Here are my faves from this month...

Maa in all her glory.

Planner pages that I've minimally decorated.

Terrace time while it rains and reading for a couple of hours, while people watching on the side.
Blisssssss!

Reading an old beloved book from my childhood.

Reading Bengali stories for Pujo.
I started this book back in April and read half of it for Nobo Borsho and picked it up again this month and finished it for Pujo.

Did a fair amount of journaling this month and it made me so happy.

Also new journals came into our lives which is always a good thing be.
Look how adorable this is?!
Will do a proper haul soon!

My One Year of Stroke Anniversary.
I got a cake to celebrate not dying.
I guess I wanted to mark a year of suffering, being brave and getting better in small ways.
A year to my most weird year of living.

Spooky Mugs!

Got some new books!
Haul coming soon!

I started reading Anna Karenina for a winter reading Project.

I am 35% in and enjoying myself and I hope to read this happily into November & December.

My 2027 planner arrived and I love it so much.

I wanted something minimal and simple and clean this year and this burgundy planner fits the bill.

Also got this Red Journal for 2027.

My colour theme for next year in Red & Burgundy.

I felt very drawn to this colour palette.

Added some lace to my journal and gave it a facelift and some whimsy and I love it. Such a simple way to add some character to your journals.

Filmed a long-form YouTube video about my 2026 Journal Eco-System.

A chonky cat came to visit.

Mishti was had and loved this month.

My new journal!
My main Pujo purchase, I didn't buy any clothes or shoes, since I don't go out anymore, so I bought a new leather trifold.
:)

My Bunny Light!

She is so freaking cute!

She is helpful for nightly reading and when I get up to go the loo in the middle of the night.

❤❤❤❤❤❤

That was October.

Kind.

Festive.

Spooky.

Happy.

Thank-you October.

See you next year.
